The case against Dr. Paul

Sales pitch:

Hmmm...dash isn't encouraging as many people as possible to abandon the money economy and buy lots of silver in order to drive the price up is he?

N'ah...I'm sure he wouldn't do anything like that. I'm convinced by his disclaimer.

Is anything actually wrong with that?
If i had a ton of silver in my closet trust me i would promote it to everyone and watch the price sky rockets. Nothing sneaky about it, just smart play for a man with investments.

Why would you not want to jump on the silver bandwagon if the price will no doubly go up if more people abandon the money economy?

ummm....

I recall a poster or two (both RP fans) claiming that once the REP race got down to 2 or 3 that it would be much better for RP, and things would get "interesting"...

when is that gonna happen?

TAM:)

In Ny the news reports the Republican primary as down to its final 3.
Mccain
Huckabee
Romney??????:jaw-dropp

WHY?

The news media has been ordered to make Ron Paul a non-entity. Evidence is all over the place.

There was one station, might have been CNN, that showed Giuliani or Thompson at 1%, then the two winners at 20%+, and then a big 10% section of the pie chart was just unlabeled. It was Ron Paul. They showed the name of a 1% but not a 10%.

Unbiased reporting? Hardly.

This is what the road to fascism is all about.

Really? Fascism is caused by the media not reporting the way a fringe minority of people want them to report?

I can agree with everyone here that Ron Paul was never going to win and probably could never get the vote count or support a Mccain or Romney could and did get.

I just hate the fact that everyone here can just turn a cheek and act like the man is getting a fair shot when it comes to the media.
Any real critical thinker can easilly even if they disagree with all his policies acknowledge the fact that he is being purposely ignored by the media.

I then start to think why? Could he have stood a chance without the media blacklisting him?
Possibly.

The more i talk to the voters around me the more i realize they all are voting based on who is more often on the cover of the NY times. Most of which dont know who Ron Pual is even at this point in the primaries where he is really one of 3 republicans left. Most people i talk to still think Romney is in the race with the way news papers and nightly news cover the primaries!

Would Ron Paul have more supporters if he ever appeared on the cover of the NY times or was atleast acknowledged as being in the race. I think so! I also think he would have a he would been a major candidate just barely falling behind Mccain and Romney.

Like i stated before it is either reported as final 2 republican candidates being Mccain and Huckabee, or it is reported final 3 with Romeny still being considered in the race!
This is happening in NYC! One of the largest cities in the world economically and population wise yet they are acting as if no one here will notice what is going on. So i could only imagine whats going on in smaller cities where it is easier to manipulate the news without getting 10,000 complaint calls that inturn get ignored anyway!

Has it ever occurred to Ron Paul supporters people do know who he is and rejected him? There's only so many 9/11 CT's, white supremacists, NAU/NWO/One World Government CT's, and anti-Federal Reserve/pro-gold standard people out there. And outside of those fringe groups Ron Paul has zero support.

Trust me, we've heard Ron Paul's message. And as soon as we stopped laughing, we rejected it.

Snip .. ad hom .. snip ..
Polls show the race as this:
Vote for your republican candidate:

1) Mccain
2)Huckabee
3)Other....

Papers report it as down to 2, Huckabee and Mccain!
Snip
Secondly because i personally wish Mccain would drop dead on the trail.

Why do they report the republican race is down to two candidates ?Because that's exactly the case. (Hint: fringe candidates can be ignored completly).
If Mccain and Huckabee drop dead, even then RP has no chance to get nominated for presidential elections, not this year nor any other year within his lifetime. And this is the only positive I can say about the republican party.

Its has nothing to do with his fringe minority support in this situation you JACKASS! The media shouldnt report anyones "WAY" they should report whats actually going on!!!!!!!!

Uhm. Don't curse in public sections.

How could you sit back and say you would rather your news falsely report the primaries then actually state who is left. His support has nothing to do with anything in this situation and shows are lack of unbiased thought.

The nightly news that i have seen report replace Ron Paul with Romney.
Reruns of debates i have watch cut out Ron Pauls best responses.
Fox news purposely tries to avoid shots of Ron Paul supporters as i have seen in a youtube video where they are talking about passing over the Ron Paul section.

Because maybe they think he is a loon? And they don't need to take him seriously.

Call him a loon all you want because you disagree with his policies. Dont for one second lie to yourself and try to act as if what you say will hold any weight in a discussion about the Medias bias towards his campaign.

I have seen even the most hardcore Anti Ron Paulites agree he was blackedout, but then in the next breath say they are glad he was for he is a loon!

Nothing i can say bad about them because for one they were being totally honest and just happen to favor anothers ideas or just totally disagreed with Pauls. Secondly because i personally wish Mccain would drop dead on the trail.

Classy.

Really? Fascism is caused by the media not reporting the way a fringe minority of people want them to report?

It's staggering how people are incapable of seeing the point.

FACT #1 -- MEDIA SHOWS CANDIDATE'S NAME WHEN THEY HOLD 1% OF VOTE
FACT #2 -- MEDIA DOES NOT SHOW CANDIDATE'S NAME WHEN THEY HOLD 10% OF THE VOTE -- PROVIDED THAT CANDIDATE IS RON PAUL.

Do you get it? My liking for Ron Paul HAS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the fact that this is BIASED REPORTING.

-Dave

Three developments in the RP campaign I noticed over the past few weeks, I'll spare this forum from another RP thread:

1. Remember the Ron Paul blimp? It turns out that was little more than a fraud, the lawyer doing the legal work on the project was billing $500 / hour and the blimp owner, who was renting the blimp at a discount got stuck with a stack of unpaid bills.

2. As though the blimp wasn't ridiculous enough, RP supporters started another project to sponsor a race car. They got tens of thousands of dollars in donations but then suddenly closed the project down and are arguing to keep the donations to themselves as a PAC.

3. I heard a rumor that all those RP money bombs were actually dual purpose, first to collect money for the campaign (obviously) but secondly to build up an email database worth potentially millions of dollars.

I hope when all the dust settles someone writes a book about the Ron Paul campaign, that would be comedy gold.

No, Dave, the point is that you said "this is what the road to fascism is all about." And don't give me the bull excrement line that this has nothing to do with your manlove of Ron Paul. I don't recall you complaining about this guy (or the other 100-some-odd candidates that are running) not receiving any media attention. Just Ron Paul.

So exactly how is this what fascism is all about?

Wow.The wonderful attitude of the Ronulans toward anybody who does not support Paul amazes me.

Dumb thing to say since i could careless about every other canidate except for Mccain.

Obama, Hillery, Romney, Huckabee all fine by me. Mccain can drop dead. So your statement of Ronulans toward ANYBODY not supporting Paul can be regarded as false!

As for WildCats constant ability to ignore what i say....

I dont care about his fringe supporters or the fact that beside me there are only 5 other Ron Paul supporters in the world. If he is a Republican canidate one of only 3 left running, when the media decides to list the final 3 candidates i would like it if he was on that list instead of a man who dropped out to support Mccain.

Is that not fair no matter how few the support me might have?
Better yet is that not how the news should report it?

Please Wildcat explain to me how the news should report the final 3 Republicans running in the primaries?

Tokorona

I dont believe Jackass is considered a curse. Thank you very much. It is infact an insult so you can call me on that.

Clearly you are also not able to fathom what i am saying by your terrible responses to my posts.
They dont have to take the man seriously, but i wont take the news seriously if they dont report actual facts.
Does not matter if they think he is a loon. He is in the race, is that not a fact? Is Ron Paul not a option when trying to vote? (Well actually he isnt in some areas, but we will leave that for another discussion.)
If so the news should report as such!

As for being classy i definitely at times am not, but i am truly honest. You should try it!

Can i ask you a question?
Could i not say that the news is infact inaccurate and wrong when they report the final 3 republican candidates left in the race as Mccain, Huckabee and Romney?
This shouldnt be hard critical thinker, and its even more simple then the dodging response you will try to make.

Ok, its all the media's fault.

RP can take up a seat next to Hillary Clinton on the Whine Bus.

Reported.

Strawman. I was asking how this relates to fascism.

Polls show the race as this:
Vote for your republican candidate:

1) Mccain
2)Huckabee
3)Other....

The news isn't reporting much about him because the people have already spoken, and the people think he's a loon. Sorry. If your candidate was more popular, he would get more coverage. That's how it works. It's not the media's job to make your candidate popular.

As for WildCats constant ability to ignore what i say....

I dont care about his fringe supporters or the fact that beside me there are only 5 other Ron Paul supporters in the world.
Now you're getting it! Ron Paul's message appeals to the fringe. Almost every last one of which falls into one of the groups I mentioned. If you don't fall into one of those categories it is you who are in the fringe of Ron Paul supporters.

If he is a Republican canidate one of only 3 left running, when the media decides to list the final 3 candidates i would like it if he was on that list instead of a man who dropped out to support Mccain.

Is that not fair no matter how few the support me might have?
Better yet is that not how the news should report it?
There may be 3 left running, but only 2 actually have a chance of winning the nomination. And if you look at who has a realistic chance, you're left with McCain alone. Huckabee's only hope is that McCain drops dead before the convention.

Please Wildcat explain to me how the news should report the final 3 Republicans running in the primaries?
1. McCain - the choice of moderate Republicans
2. Huckabee - the choice of those who want the Constitution changed to "reflect god's law".
3. Ron Paul - the laughingstock of the Republican party. Thinks $235 billion in gold reserves can fund a $13 trillion economy. Introduces a bill every year seeking to prevent the Federal courts from hearing Establishment Clause cases in a backdoor effort to establish a state religion. Supported by a coalition of white supremacists, 9/11 "truthers", anti-Fed, pro gold standard loons, and NAU/NWO/One World Government conspiracy theorists.

How's that? 100% accurate btw, but no doubt you really want the media to report on Ron Paul without actually mentioning his policies or his support base.

No, Dave, the point is that you said "this is what the road to fascism is all about." And don't give me the bull excrement line that this has nothing to do with your manlove of Ron Paul. You seem to be derailing the conversation because Dave has infact made a point. You are purposely pointing out and trying to discuss his mute opinion about our society and its possible leading into fascism when it infact has nothing to do with the general tone of the conversation.

He stated an opinion at the end of a post that was making a point that held weight in the current conversation/debate.
Your failing ability to acknowledge the point or have any type of response to its validity has lead to you having to tear apart at the mans slightly mentioned opinion. Based most likely on research or ideas that clearly spill out of the field of Ron Paul and the topic as a whole.

Aslo if Ron Paul is a fringe unsupported canidate what do you consider these other "100 candidates" running for the republican ticket that you tried to make a point by mentioning?

You should be able to understand since you are a critical thinker that whether Dave does this for His "manlove" of Ron Paul or not does not matter. The motives behind why anyone discusses/debates a topic really doesnt matter. Only the facts and presentation of ideas should be considered all important.

T.A.M. Also likes to make blatantly state stupid already made comments in order to derail the point we are trying to make.
I thought i made it clear i didnt think it was the medias fault he lost. Thus making your comment rather ridiculous and random. Either way he would not have been able to gather the support needed to win based on his ideals, but that doesnt change the fact that he was purposely ignored.

Do people actually read what we say and think of responses or is there a Ron Paul response Manual that everyone seems to be reading from?

Ok, its all the media's fault.

RP can take up a seat next to Hillary Clinton on the Whine Bus.

TAM:)

To be fair, I have a feeling that Obama,McCain, and Nader will take a ride on that bus before this campaign is over.
But the Paul supporters are the most over the top.

No, Dave, the point is that you said "this is what the road to fascism is all about." And don't give me the bull excrement line that this has nothing to do with your manlove of Ron Paul. My last response explained all the facts. If you choose to ignore them that's your business. Nevertheless let's try again:

Candidate A = 25% of vote
Candidate B = 20% of vote
Candidate C = 10% of vote
Candidate D = 1% of vote

Media reports names for A, B and D, but not C. That is BIASED reporting. Biased why? Because we live in a fascist state, and it's getting more fascist as time goes on. Big business controls the media.

I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall sometimes...Your faith in the spoon-fed propaganda you've been eating all your life is something you really need to get over.

Honestly I don't care if Ron Paul wins or not. I'd choose Obama over Clinton, I just don't want to hear Clinton's voice and see her face for the next 4 or 8 years. Obama doesn't bother me. But no matter who wins, even Ron Paul, the economy is toast. Ron Paul would be better in the aftermath.

But the president doesn't matter so much. Vote with your wallet. Get out of dollars as fast as you can. Watch the dollar fall! It's accelerating. Too bad if you're going down with it.

-Dave

I am not a McCain Supporter, but he did show what to do when you discover that you have a wackjob in your campaign the other night: Disavow him or her and get rid of them as soon as possible.
Paul refusal to do this is one reason he has become a national joke.
Of course a major reason Paul refused to do that is that he agreed with a lot of the wackjobs in his campaign.....
