TAM 6, I need details!

I wonder if there will be a buy-in Hold 'Em tourny like last time...

I can almost guarantee it.

AntiqueHunter is the pro at setting these things up. And I hope he can make it. But if not, I'm sure we can find someone to fill in. I'll do it myself if needed :)

John Edward will be at the Flamingo on Feb 14-15.

If Vegas is picking up on psychics, there should be a chance that we can SkeptiCrash one of the shows.

Wow, that'd be something! How exactly would we 'crash' a John Edward show? Should we wear T-shirts that say "John Edward is the Biggest Douche in the Universe"? I suppose that'd be the snarky thing to do. We could always just tell him he's dead (pardon the pun) wrong when he calls out misses.

Or perhaps we could clandestinely hand out fliers in the crowd? ;)

Could we get a few folks who have a knack for cold reading do the same thing for free in front of where his show is?

That fraud was recently in Australia talking to Steve [The crocodile hunter] Irving's wife. He claimed he contacted Steve in the beyond. No other details were released. I wonder why?

Michael Shermer. He once posed as a medium for research for a book he was writing. He claimed an 80% accuracy rate. That's better than Edwards. ;)

Missed TAM 5.5 unfortunately--could've used that 4AM swim I heard about. Definitely heading to TAM 6!

For what it's worth, I will be there as well.

I, for one (or two apparently after Wolfman's post), will appreciate being able to meet you after having been denied twice in Houston.

Just don't expect us to spend much social time together and please don't ask to get a photo with me.

...as, probably, will I. Hokster's fantasies may finally have a chance to come true.

You will be arranging for John Taylor's sweat to land on me?

You are a vampire?

I appears that my federal tax returns will cover TAM6 registration and the flight to LV. I'll use my state tax returns and what I can save from now until then to cover room cost, food and the P&T show at the Rio every night of TAM6 (I've never seen them live and am making up for all the years I didn't know they existed).

When to arrive?

So, do the first day's events usually start in the evening? I'm looking at a flight that arrives Thursday at 10 am. I'd rather not arrive Wednesday and have the extra night in the hotel, or is that the usual procedure? Thanks.

Assuming things are scheduled similar to years past (and that's an assumption that could get blown out of the water once details are announced next week), you should be fine. Thursday afternoons typically have an optional, extra-fee workshop, but the first open-to-everyone event isn't until the reception that evening.

Even if it turns out that you want to attend the afternoon workshop, a flight arrival time of 10am should still give you enough time to get from the airport to the hotel.
