Asian markets opening the week badly

I'd just like to say thank you America! Your subprime nonsense isn't just hurting your own economy, but everyone else's too! It's the gift that keeps on giving!

NOTE: the above was said with tongue somewhat firmly in cheek. But there is some truth to the fact that it was lax U.S. financial regulations and questionable financial practices which contributed to the subprime mortgage problem and subsequent credit mess. A made-in-America problem is now becoming a global issue.

But please keep us updated every hour because checking Bloomberg would be too hard.

My China funds and stock have taken a big hit in the last month. I mean a BIG hit. Now is not the time to sell, in fact I have increased my number of shares. It's a buying opportunity.

The TSX finished up Up 92.07 (0.71%) today.

(Still not certain what the point of this thread is -- but happy to contribute for the usual reasons.) :confused:
