My favorite games (Advanced Squad Leader and Starfleet Battles) are too complex to teach to someone; they have to take the rules and read them themselves. I do limit myself to games like "Kill Doctor Lucky" at events like this.

Kill Doctor Lucky is cool. If you want to bring it I say sure. I am bringing games that can be learned fairly quickly and one that is just too cool to pass up, brand new and ever so fun.

You people are really making me wish I could make it to 5.5. No chance.

I could have brought along Zombies, Nuclear Proliferation (Expansion/sequel to Nuclear War.) and I own at least two different versions of SFB rules.

Thats better. Neither SFB nor ASL are travel friendly, but gamers manage.

Minis gamers travel with several suitcases to carry their armies, terrian and such. I prefer ccgs, much easier to carry deck boxes.

Turtle is a game that was totally made up by some friends of ours - uses a regular deck of cards. It's the easiest game to learn but can be addictive if you're not careful

Turtle is to real cards what Tic-Tac-Toe is to chess.

I'm told Turtle is enhanced by alcohol. I believe it. Especially if that alcohol is in the form of a molotov cocktail.
