Guess who God hates now!

Quite seriously, how do you end up like that?
What do you reckon actually happened to that guy, some sort of childhood trauma or was he just indoctrinated at an early age?
 
I was going to point out that the God of the bible actually does not make any distinction between the sinner and the sin. You won't find the phrase "love the sinner, hate the sin" anywhere in the bible.

Don't get me wrong, Phelps is still a brain damaged baboon. He's selectively pulling laws out of the OT to justify his prejudices, and he's aligning himself with its vindictive bloodthirsty war deity.
 
Would it not be easier for Fred to list the things God does not hate and then just say

"if you are not in the above take it as read you are on the hate list"?

Funny how the hurricane that Phelps is saying was God's punishment for the gay pride parade didn't hit anywhere near the area where it was held. I guess either Phelps is pulling it all out of his backside or God has really bad aim?

False dichotomy. Phelps could be pulling it out of his ass AND god has bad aim. It's hard to control storms when you're fictional, ya know.

It's the other way around. The ancient Jews didn't want eunuch priests of a goddess coming around and recruiting. It was very popular in that part of the world for some reason, and more widespread than Yahweh worship.

And "not entering into the congregation" isn't merely about "not going to church", it's a call to total shunning.

I'm not saying it was completely fair, let alone universally applicable. Only that it was a rational response to a real problem. With some collateral damage perhaps.

There is a passage in the Bible that says that essentially says bad things happens to good people. I wonder if Phelps knows about that. Please don't ask me what passage though. I was watching a show on biblical disasters on the History Channel.
