I might point out that Hollywood and other producers come out with many films of varying quality and profitability. Picking and choosing films that meet one's criteria with respect to PP is serious cherry picking with (to me) little actual predictive value.

Maybe all those films were produced by the same studio?
Maybe all those films were directed by the same director?
Maybe all those films were written by the same writer or same company (I use this term loosely)?
Maybe all those films were... etc.?

Maybe all those films were made because someone came up with an idea, somebody bought into the idea, and a movie was made because it was thought that it might make a profit?

We ought to have a rule not allowing thread creation until you've made substantive posts in other threads.

Or, if you start a thread, and people reply to the OP, and you don't address at least one reply in a reasonable time, the whole thread is deleted.
