Atheist Bumper Stickers

Atheist bumper stickers will get your car vandalised.

I just saw one a few minutes ago that made me laugh:

"God was my copilot, but we crashed in the Ozarks and I had to eat him."

I searched JREF forum just now and found only a little about bumper sticker, esp. one that started with "Bumper Stickers that made me cringe" the decayed into the usual "God exists," "no, he doesn't" nonsense.

This thread is for reporting atheist bumper stickers, medallions, T-shirts, etc. that we've seen or can think of. Debates regarding the existence of supernatural deities will be reported as off-topic.

I live in the biblebelt and if I put a sticker like this on my car sooner or later my vehicle would get keyed, tires slashed, brick thru the windshield etc. Maybe I'm a coward but no stickers for me.

That's a good one. :D

I once told one of my more fundy flight students, who was having a rough day with spins and stalls, that God may be his co pilot, but I was his instructor, and neither he nor I had God's sort of parachute, and that we needed to get the controls neutralized and the rudders under better control, and in a more timely fashion, or we'd be testing our parachutes. :(

Those are good ones: stickers that seem to contradict the the driver. A car cut me off and gridlocked me when I was trying to merge into traffic, the driver looked at me with an "FU" face but had a sticker on the side that said "Nasty people suck."
It might have been a "gift" from the last driver he gridlocked. Many's the time I wished I could take the time to explain to drivers who insisted on blocking the intersection instead of letting me turn left ahead of them that they weren't really making their own trip any faster by seriously slowing mine. I suppose a "Mean people suck" bumper sticker affixed without ceremony in such cases wouldn't have communicated QUITE the whole message, but it would have covered the emotional component.

I used one of those "design your own bumper sticker online" websites and made this one:

"I'd rather be ignorant than wrong."

I wonder how many people actually get what I'm trying to say.

My housemate is a freethinker, and usually has a Yorkshire terrier in her passenger seat. I got her a sticker that said "DOG is my co-pilot".

I have a rotating collection (on magnets), right now featuring "MILITANT AGNOSTIC: I don't know and neither do you".

The thing that took courage was driving up to Denver through Colorado Springs, headquarters of Focus On The Family, proudly displaying a sticker that read "FOCUS ON YOUR OWN DAMN FAMILY".

I kinda like the one I saw years ago that said:

"Nothing Fails Like Prayer"

See my sig. Excellent corruption of a fundy sticker. Even uses the same words.

Hmmm, with a nod to "Atheists are good for nothing," may I suggest "Nothing works like prayer"? You could even put that one on your car and not have to worry about somebody vandalizing it...

I saw a great one a while ago. It's not athiest but evolutionist. It's one of those jesus fish with feet and the word "EVOLUTION" in the middle of the fish and under it says "We have the fossils. We win."

I recall some atheists claiming the Darwin fish wasn't trying to mock the Jesus fish whatsoever. At that point, I realized some athiests were lying cowards.
Promoting science doesn't necessarily imply you are "mocking" god believers.

Are they mocking me with their Jesus fish? No, they are promoting their beliefs. What's the dif?

Well I have to agree with Beerina that the Darwin fish is a deliberate spoof of the jesus fish. We don't have to be dishonest about mocking the jesus fish, it deserves nothing more than mockery.

I have to say to Beerina though, that if prior to hearing the denial, you though that not believing in god somehow magically makes you unsuspectible to human flaws, you were quite naive.

Some atheists are lying cowards, simple because some people are lying cowards, regardless of their chosen worldview.

I'm an atheist, and I've been a lying coward in situations where I felt uncomfortable.

I think the point is that one can promote science without distorting someone else's symbolism. The Darwinfish was created as a parody of the Jesusfish, and is therefore clearly a mock. Not that I'm against Darwinfish...
