How did you rule out that 911 was an inside job?

Max, I've enjoyed your wacky sense of humor for the most part, and I also liked the fact that you tried to go back and revise your theories based on what you learned here.

The therm*te theory has been put to bed; the laser ignition theory has been put to bed; the ammonium perchlorate theory has been put to bed. You need to work on a new theory...and frankly, I hope it's one not devoted to 9/11.

Seems that a person with your imagination could earn a good living writing science fiction or something...anything but wasting your talent on 9/11 CT nonsense.

Just like Neal Adams should have stuck with being a great Comics Artist (Possibly the best Batman Artist ever) and never get involved with pushing crackpot theories about a Hollow Earth and the Earth's Origin.

Lets see now. There's the confession by the guilty suspects, there's the plausible motive, there's the consistency of the response on 9/11 with other events, there's good video of the collapse that doesn't show anything suspicious, there's the utter failure of 6 years of effort from a bunch of people who desperately want to believe it was an inside job to turn up anything suspicious or formulate a reasonable competing hypothesis, there's the silly number of people that would have to be involved... nope, can't think of anything.

This is what amazes me.

People can look at images like this and casually dismiss them as normal.

You can't argue with someone capable of seeing white where black exists.

Who said anything that happened on 9/11 was "normal"?

And, you're right- you can't argue with someone who refuses to accept the facts. Remember when you compared conspiracism to religion earlier today? I'm still shocked.

Exhibit B

I'm sorry TheRedWorm, I didn't see your post.

What convinced me that WTC7 was an inside job?

Well up until the spring of 2006, I was willing to believe the official story.

Up until that point, I hadn't been exposed to the data surrounding the collapse of WTC7 and I had accepted the PBS argument explaining the WTC Towers' collapse as being 'pancaking' from fire weakened steel.

I mean, I know how my how 'attitude' must stink here, but I really didn't want to believe the most horrendous idea that "9/11 was an inside job", but I've always believed in forming my own opinions and for the life of me, I couldn't accept the WTC7 collapse as anything other than a controlled demolition.

Since the official story refuses to acknowledge the obvious, and insists that it was natural for a modern 47-story, over-engineered highrise office building to perform a total, high speed, symmetrical, collapse after being subjected to some debris damage and limited fire, I was forced to believe there was a coverup occurring.

When a demolition expert like Danny Jowenko agrees with me, it makes it even more difficult to believe the lie.

If the collapse of WTC7 was prepared in advance, as it obviously had to have been, then one has to consider how this reflects on WTC1 and WTC2, Shankesville and the Pentagon.

MM

Of course MM, so any chance you could actually link me to the “official story” web site? Not NIST, The 911 commissions site but the actual United States Government Official story site?

I can’t seem to find it, ta.

Only idiots say it was an inside job; I did not want to be an idiot.

To address the OP, the truth is that I did at one time believe that the Bush administration caused 9/11, however I considered it more an act of deliberate negligence (in other words, they knew about it and intentionally failed to act) than an elaborate conspiracy like the Truthers have put forth. What changed my mind was when I reminded myself that this is the Bush administration we're talking about. This is by far the most incompetent president we have ever had, who has screwed up at just about everything he's ever tried to accomplish in life, and in his presidency. The Bush administration can't do anything right, and the government can't even cover up a break-in at a hotel, therefore how in the hell could they have covered up a 9/11 inside job?

At the end of the day, you can hate Bush all you want (and I certainly can't stand the guy) but making stuff up without any evidence to support your claims only serves to undermine legitimate criticisms of him and his administration. Never attribute to malice what could easily be attributed to incompetence. Just look at his handling of the 2005 hurricane disaster for an example.

exactly Silentknight...

for god's sake, they can't keep it quiet on bathroom indiscretions and page emails. Most of the important NWO figures are not even working for them now. Rove...gone. Rumsfeld...gone.

They couldn't plant a few WMDs and a small make shift facility anywhere in Iraq for the troops to find, but they pulled off 9/11...I mean, come on.

truthers give the USG WAY TOO MUCH CREDIT!!!

I never had a reason to doubt "the official story" of what happened on 9/11. When I first became exposed to the CTs last year, I examined them and found them without merit, on shaky factual ground, distorted or otherwise dishonest. Quotes being distored, especially, such as Larry's "pull it" bit being accepted as a public confession. Once I started interacting with tr00thers, it was sealed. They threw their claims against the wall to see what stuck. They posted them over and over, like a spammer trying to lure in a few more suckers. If you questioned them or remained skeptical, they resorted to name-calling and insults. You had to buy hook, line and sinker the same story that they bought hook, line and sinker, without questioning any of the details or validity or presenting anything other than sycophantic agreement. The truth doesn't keep changing, or going through multiple revisions, like Loose Change. The truth doesn't require financial support or charge admission. If you have truth, you can't back away from it just because it's damaging to people, like the deal with the loosers and the faked phone calls; sometimes, the truth hurts.

"STOP," cried the thief!

Greetings good people,

Consider the following:

If a man goes to the police to report his wife murdered, the police will naturally suspect the man.

If a business's inventory goes up in flames, investigators will naturally suspect the owners.

When there is a crime, it is perfectly reasonable to suspect and investigate the reflexive solution.

A question to 19-Hijacker Conspiracy Hypothesists:

How did you rule out that 911 was an inside job?

Max

Does anyone else remember that Malcolm made the same analogy? I also remember a great deal of the same answers.

Moving all the WTC 7 posts to a new thread. MirageMemories, the topic of this thread is CLEARLY indicated in the title: "How did you rule out that 911 was an inside job?". Stop derailing it with posts about how you decided it was an inside job.
Replying to this modbox in thread will be off topic  Posted By: chillzero

I ruled it out because there was a guy at school that I hated (and still do) that one day started going on about the whole numbers thing (this was I think a few months after the event) and I just couldn't side with someone on an issue that I wanted to kill.

you mean killl the issue, not the person, right??? right???

As others have already articulated, it's not a matter of ruling out, it's all about ruling in. Everything about 9/11 points in one direction. Nothing points any other way. So it's real easy to persuade myself that what appears to have happened is exactly what actually did happen.

And if I may wax serious for a moment, I'd have to say that the collective efforts of those who style themselves the Truth Movement have been a net negative as far as convincing me that 9/11 was an inside job. Honestly, these guys have made virtually every mistake I can think of, and violated every guideline for advancing a convincing and rational argument. If theories, like people, are judged by the company they keep, the 9/11 CT doesn't stand a chance.

I just love these kinds of threads.. You can tell that the OP thought he had come up with a brilliant way to demonstrate to skeptics how wrong they were.. how misguided they were.. how they were too quick to judge.. how this was going to stump them all.

And it's brilliantly torn apart and falls flat on it's face in no time.

Didn't seem much point in ruling out something there wasn't any reason for me to consider in the first place.

I have ruled nothing out. This is kind of like the "are you still beating your wife" fallacy, to be honest.

I had a hard time writing a response to your question as I would normally respond to a question without seeming Cliché. So as a result, here is a quick story I have made for you. Enjoy it.

The Adventures of "The Doc"
I have ruled nothing out.

Picture a metaphorical land. This land encloses stunning green fields, crystal clear water that is bounded by golden sandy coasts, mountains as high as Snoop Dogg, and two towns, "Gubmint Didit Shire" and "Teroriss Didit Fields". In this metaphorical land of sorts, Genus Criticalis Thinkocybin necessitate high quality evidence as sustenance, where as Genus Conspiracylan require evidence of far lesser excellence and in far fewer dosages for nourishment.

I began my existence in this delightful land as a Genus Conspiracylan, requiring purely anomalies and circumstantial evidence to sustain myself. Life was pretty fine at that point in time. Evidence was simply made up on the spot by my associate Conspiracylans, and thus was easy to come by. At this point in time, I was completely oblivious to the existence of the Criticalis Thinkocybins, and consequently could not care for their superior standards of sustenance.

Then, one fine day I was venturing Gubmint Didit Shire with some of my close Conspiracylans. Spirits were high, our population was escalating, and our sustenance was being fed to us in (what we thought was) higher quality than ever! That was the first time I ever heard of our enemies... the Genus Criticalis Thinkocybin. "They have taken our new "Loosius Changeous" species of food and poisoned it with Gravy", they shrieked from the tips of the mountains of sustenance that had now piled on our borders. I was intrigued by our adversaries, but didn't think much of them at first.

A week or so later, I awoke to an aching stomach. I needed nutrition. I noted that my body was evolving, and that the great sustenance we had collected wasn't as gratifying to me as it was to my associates. I explored the land in search of something that satisfied my appetite. It was no coincidence that the fruits of evidence became ever so sweeter as I traveled closer to Teroriss Didit Fields. I looked back upon my old home from the remoteness, and in that instant I noticed that the mountains that had developed around my old town were not mountains of evidence, but mere mountains of discarded faeces that spewed from the mouths of the Conspiracylans. The Conspiracylans had become worse than ever, eating up anything that came from their leader’s mouths, in spite of of its quality as sustaining evidence.

I cautiously wandered toward Terroriss Didit Fields. There was a big wooden arch on the town's boarder, with an open gate that was ever so appealing. I asked the first person I saw if they could direct me to some sustenance, and was lead to an eatery that dished up "Screweth Loosius Changeous". Vigilant to its quality, I observed it, smelt it, took a small bite, compared it with the sustenance from Gubmint Didit Fields, and realized that I had found my new home.

Over time, I became a Chef in this new land. Taking pieces of quality evidence and compiling them together to produce some works that became relatively well known across the town.

Occasionally, I wander back to my old home town and see how things have changed. To put it bluntly, they haven’t. I regularly exchange evidence with my old breed; only to have it rejected. This is inevitably followed by an avalanche triggered from the mountain of faeces that bears down on me like Rosie O’Donnell bears down on cake. The mountain is comprised of the same faeces that comprised the mountain when I left eighteen months ago. Like I said, nothing has changed.

I will return to Gubmit Didit Shire one day, perhaps. In my quest for the highest quality sustenance, I go wherever the best evidence goes. If one day the evidence in Gubmint Didit Shire becomes better than Terroriss Didit Fields, I will return with no shame. I have ruled nothing out.
