A while back there was a thread about internet rumors about Barack Obama being a muslim and there was a dogpile about right wing news sources being responsible.

I being the skeptic I am, suggested that it was also likely the source of these internet spams could be Hillary supporters since that is the person with the most to gain.

I had to put up with all kinds of BS about saying that including some people distorting it to say that I thought Hillary herself was behind it.

All I have to say now is, suck my bells.

Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign on Sunday requested the resignation of a second Iowa volunteer coordinator who forwarded a hoax e-mail saying Barack Obama is a Muslim possibly intent on destroying the United States.

The one thing to note here is that neither of these people were doing mass-mailing. So there is still no evidence of a hillary supporter doing mass-spamming of these rumors. Then again, theres no evidence of a rabid Ann Coulter supporter doing it either.

You aren't fooling me. You are way too apathetic to support any douchebag running for president of the US.
I am a confirmed Hillary supporter, absolutely fanatical. I have her picture in my wallet and I dream of the day I can meet her. Obama can never defeat her....he's just too.....umm.....tooo.....well, sort of too Muslim.
There, I did it again....see.

I being the skeptic I am,

You misspelled "conspiracy theorist."

Not quite, corpy.

It's spam.

Before the ball sucking begins, there are a couple of points to consider.

First, this madrassa thing has been going on before October 5, which is when the article mentions the first Clinton supporter forwarded a similar email. The article does nothing to indicate that a Clinton supporter was a likely source of these internet spams. So, corp, as a skeptical thinker, how does this actually help your argument? When did you make these claims about the likely source of the rumors?

Second and this in no way impacts your argument, I just thought it ironic that you are citing Fox News' website posting of an article showing a Democratic candidate in a bad light as proof that right wing new sources were not propagating internet rumors about Democratic candidates. Just sayin'.

Fixed. Don't deny it, TF.

Ugh...Some things should not be joked about. :boggled:

Now I've got to decide whether that post violates Rule 12, Rule 2, Rule 8, or Rule 9*. :D

* Note for the humor impaired: The above was a joke, like the post it references, and I have no intention of moderating it in such a fashion.

Well, if HRC's people weren't the source, shouldn't we soon expect to see the rest of the MSM that isn't Fox News track it back? Or are CNN and MSNBC and PBS all in cahoots with Fox to defame HRC and her campaign?

Wait a minute. HRC's campaign fired someone for spreading a false rumor. Why isn't that a news story? Should it have been buried?

The story is an AP story. I linked the FoxNews link to the story. Typically AP stories get printed on dozens of news sites. I couldn't have made it more clear that the source is AP.

You misspelled "conspiracy theorist."

You were one of the people with their panties in a bunch because I said Hillary supporters have the most to gain at this time from Obama rumors being spread. Cause, you know, the Ron Paulistas have so much to gain.

Possibly it was "burried" because the people HRC's campaign "let go" or "asked to resign" were volunteers, not paid staff. Kind of funny, really, it was, I think, Insight that started this whole Obama is a muslim thing and, if not mistaken, cited sources at the HRC campaign for putting them on the story...now the story is making her campaign look bad. Oh what a tangled web we weave when we endeavor to run for office in the Clinton mode.

And since when has spam depended on who has what to gain?

I don't know. Maybe, maybe not. My point is that corp's OP article doesn't show what he claims it shows.

No, it is a legitimate story. I never said it wasn't.

Yes, if you look at what I said, you will see that I understand that. I just found it ironic that you went to Fox News to show that it is not just right wing news sources propagating these types of rumors.

Don't abuse the term irony.

During the day I read mostly BBC and Tech news. I glance at Fox every now and then for the good ole' american OJ SIMPSON IS LOOSE headline of the day. There is nothing ironic about FoxNews being the first source I saw with the AP story carried.
