The only possible way for people around the world to see an event is by television? Is DOC's god not intelligent enough to predict internet streaming?

Forgive the shorthand. The somewhat longerhand goes like this...

Eventually God will establish a Divine Kingdom on Earth. Between then and now there'll be a transition period -- the Messianic era. This transition will either be relatively easy on everyone, or relatively harsh.

It's the role of Jews to help pave the way for the coming Divine rule. This is accomplished by spiritual means (primarily obeying the many commandments of the Torah). If successful, the Jews will have "saved the world" by ensuring a relatively easy transition to the Divine Kingdom on Earth. In this sense, the role of the Jew is fundamentally altruistic.

Bear in mind this is my own very superficial understanding based on conversations with observant Jews. If someone has a better understanding, I hope they'll correct me.

Considering that lysdexia brought up seafloor spreading as support of the bible, but seems to have deliberately ignored the term "subduction", I think that any grammar nitpicks he/she might make warrant the old NT gem regarding motes and logs in one's eye.

Let's say a US president decides to nuke people who want to fight against Jerusalem and to destroy Israel. (aka Iran's leadership) I have a feeling that that president (who we know believes in God since an atheist can't get elected president in the US) will pray to God for guidance. If the US uses nuclear weapons first, God will be a part of that decision (in my lifetime anyway).

You are hoping that the US will use nuclear weapons just to make a biblical prediction apparently come true? Only a horrible person would think that way.
