Doc, apart from the fact that the original post assumes (I think mistakenly) that atheism and evolution are coupled in some way, thus ignoring, among other things, the enormous numbers of Christian and other religious believers who accept evolution, as well as ignoring the considerable possibility that a person can conclude that there is no god for reasons entirely unrelated to evolutionary science, I still don't quite understand why a poor grounding in evolutionary science, or in any science for that matter, should be an argument for more faith and not for more study. Are you saying that a person with incomplete knowledge of evolutionary theory should give up on it and embrace creation, are you saying that a person with incomplete knowledge of evolutionary theory would find religion if he studied more evolution? What on earth is the point to begin with? This is a real question. I am truly baffled by your intent. Whatever idea gave rise to this thread is outside my ability to parse. Can you clarify it?

Unless you can answer Bruto's questions from post 289 I'd say that this thread is a non starter. But if we do put obviously erroneous statements like the ones above at the end of the Jefferson thread will you actually acknowledge them? I'd settle for a simple admission that your statement that Europeans brought peace to America is utterly, demonstrably false.

Do you realize that the only entities that agree with you are the voices in YOUR head. And, your first word in your little missive should be "you're" not "your". And it's not an empty assertion, because it's true. We don't need to prove it to you. The evidence speaks for itself. And no amount of evidence can convince a man of faith.

You ignore or don't read or respond to the vast majority of posters--you can't seem to clarify or understand even the most basic grammar, social interactions, and science-- you came here to preach pretending to want to discuss things and that in itself is dishonest. You insult the people who could teach you something and have vastly over estimated your own education, knowledge, contribution to this forum, ability to think logically, and your respect-worthiness.

Like so many Christians, you are ultra good at commenting on the non-existent sawdust in other peoples' eyes while being utterly blind to the giant log sticking out of yours. Every accusation you have made towards others and your conclusions about science would be so much better applied to yourself and your conclusions about whatever magical creation story someone brainwashed you into believing.

Science has evidence. You don't even know what that is. Faith has hollow threats and promises that you collect on in the supposed next life. If faith makes people like you, I can't imagine why anyone would find it something good.

I wonder if DOC knows that the bible shows that god approves of slavery?

I'm only interested in presenting information. you'd think someone who puts thier faith in the bible should be aware of what is says on these topics.
