All have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23. Embracing homosexuals is one thing, they are equals but denying what they do is a sin is another. Homosexuals are unrepetent sinners and I wouldn't call a church that doesn't consider homosexuality a sin a true Christian church I would call that church a "gay' church and full of the devil. Homosexuality is a sin. God makes up the rules, he has declared it a sin and it is not up to us to challenge his authority or attempt to play God. We have to accept him and follow his commandments or face the consequences. It is our free choice to make but at the same time we have a duty to warn those what will happen if they continue on in their wicked sinful ways.

That's a frankly stupid position for any rational person to hold.

Christianity is not the "default" or logical position for people to hold. So, why should anyone feel particularly bound to the Christian bigotry, versus any other worldview, some of which are actually decent and humane?

Ironically, "Kill men who lie with other men as with women" doesn't require much of a detailed analysis.

Even if an apologist tried the sophistry that God changed the rules with the coming of Jesus, you're still left with the unsavoriy situation that, once upon a time, God found this a fine thing to do, "because them Jews back then were a nomadic tribal culture and this thing was appropriate for them, at that time."

And that's not much of a satisfying argument, ethically.

Homosexuality is also condemned in the New Testament but unlike the Old Testament where God commands society to put them to death, in the New Testament God "mearly" says the homosexual is worthy of death (as are we all before we are saved) and allows them the opportunity to repent of their wickedness. Not much chance of that as God has given them up (Romans 1:24) but if they do not, he will eventually kill them. God has taken over the role of executioner in the New Testament. His patience is finite and the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23).

Leviticus is the part of the Old Testament that Christians today are not required to follow, Orthodox Jews are still required too however. It's why we no longer call for the Government to put the homosexuals to death. It is no longer our responsibility to punish the homosexuals sin through execution, they are still worthy of death though and God will sort them out if they don't repent and depart that lifestyle. It is our duty however to warn them of their potential fate if they do not repent and change their ways.

Same sex attraction is a disorder called SSAD. Homosexuality is a behavior that those with SSAD often engage in.
