There's an interesting entry to Digg today, which is currently the most popular story over there. It's a poll that wants the get the opinions of Digg users based on a variety of topics.

There's a question on 9/11 there, which asks the question:
"5. Who committed the attacks on 9/11?"

Currently, the responses aren't favoring the conspiracists at all.

Al-Qaeda (not state supported) - 71.8% - 25736 votes
Iraq - 0.7% - 238 votes
Saudi Arabia - 3.3% - 1197 votes
Israel - 0.6% - 230 votes
United States - 18.1% - 6473 votes
Other (please specify) - 5.6% - 1996 votes

So, without dancing around with vauge questions like "Do you feel there was a coverup involved in 9/11", it is pretty apparent who people feel was responsible for 9/11.

Wow... The number of votes has increased a lot since I posted the link in another thread. At the time only ~5500 people answered that particular question.

Heh... I clicked on "other" and someone has listed "NWO".

Obama and Ron Paul are both leading in the same poll. Obviously the polls quite a mess. Hillary and Rudolph are going to be running against each other for President. Obviously a very out of touch poll.

Yet again I marvel at how close to the truth South Park were.

And as an aside, the huge majority of atheists is noteworthy.

/agree

But I am guessing the NWO/Bush/Illuminati/Bilderburgs have been up all night skewing the results... :covereyes

Dont worry I am sure when Grand Infowarrior Alex Jones gives his weekly Mein Kaumf on Monday he'll call his troof squad to make this whole poll useless with their vote spam.

So is the poll hackable???

ie. how long before the twoofers vote bomb this one??

TAM:)

16 % said:

"(Michael Vick) deserves to be beaten and raped in prison, I hope he rots there"

ooo! Nasty.

and 43% are athiests. Is this supposed to be US based? (should be, with the US centred q´s)

And there are 243 Discordians! lol. More than Scientologiests (158)

Does this poll trump the Zogby, Scripps Howard/Ohio Uni polls now in your world?

My best guess is that the real number of Americans who believe that the US government was behind 9-11 cannot be less than 10% and is unlikely to be greater than 30%.

But even those figures are not very useful. How many real 9-11 activists are there? Webster Tarpley estimated in a speech in Vancouver that it was 25,000 or so "at most", and even that appears a gross exaggeration. We see videos and photos of the 11th of every month actions in major cities like St. Louis and Seattle and they never reach even a double-digit head count. If we say that somewhere between 30 million and 90 million people believe this nonsense, and yet only 25,000 are doing something about it, that means that for every kid with an "Investigate 9-11" tee shirt there are 1200-3600 people who believe it but don't do anything about it.

Which says to me that they believe it like they believe Elvis is alive; they will answer "Yes" to a pollster, but they aren't about to spend their vacation looking for him.

Not anymore or less relevant, it is only the TM who piss their pants about polls, and at least this question is framed better

are you coming to NY to count the attendees at the biggest TM rally ever?

That would probs give you a better idea on how much progress was being made

I have no faith in unscientific self selected polls or any polls that have questions that are not from a totally neutral standpoint.

Agreed.

(But I have to admit that I find it at least passingly amusing when twoofers avoid like the plague threads about unscientific polls that do not support their insane beliefs while they simultaneously tout unscientific polls that do support their insane beliefs. Disclaimer: I also admit to having a twisted sense of humour.)

Where did I say that? Straw man. I simply pointed this poll out, which is open to anyone voting, and even then, you conspiracists couldn't even manage to bomb it :)

Oh I completely agree. I wasn't using the poll to come to any definite conclusions, merely to point it out seeing as I found it interesting.
