OK so meet at 10 in the parking lot of the museum for those that don't want to have breakfast with GG, and for those that do, PM GG or post here where that breakfast is then?

If anyone lives in that area (Grand Prairie/Arlington) perhaps you could post a suggestion for a breakfast place?

Okay, count me in.

Don't know the GP area well enough to suggest an eatery for breakfast. I yield to the judgement of anyone local. Somebody nominate a place.

H- I'm suggesting about 9? Any suggestions?

I'm not entirely sure what might be in the area. But I would suggest IHOP or someplace that might serve breakfast and maybe something other then breakfast. But I am pretty much open to someplace that may carry food. :)

I didn't see an IHOP on the google maps, but I can certainly find something besides McDonalds. I will try to find something easy to locate for people who aren't familiar with the area.

Thank you GG! Keep us updated so we can all know where to meet for breakfast!

Since no one has made any suggestions, I am making an executive decision.

We will meet at La Madeleines on 3101 N. Collin, which is righ off I-20, west of Ripley's

On the link, this is the one referred to as Arlington SOUTH. On Collins Street

It is a locally-owned chain, started by a French lady and Stanley Marcus, co-owner of Neiman-Marcus.

Here's the link

http://www.lamadeleine.com/Location.aspx?CityID=5

I would suggest no later than 9 - although I will be there a bit earlie., to see if I can secure a larger table. Also, I am a bit of a nutcase about being places on time, and don't want to be to Ripley's late. I don't know what the crowds, if any, will be like on a Sunday following a holiday. It is a bistro, where you go through a serving line and either order something a la carte, or from the prepared foods. If you have problems with the link, PM or call me

817 dot 692 dot 7447. Tell me who you are when you call, this is my personal AND business cell phone!

Can I call and breathe heavy?

Thank you for the executive decision, and the help. YAY GG!

Sounds good to me but I think there is a little mix up here.

Locations on Le Madeleine's site:

Arlington
2101 N. Collins, Arlington 76011
Lamar & Collins

Arlington (South)
4201 S. Cooper Street, Suite 731, Arlington 76015
I-20 & Cooper

Isn't Ripley's basically on 30? I could be mistaken, I have never been there before and don't know the area well. If so would we want the "Arlington" location which is just North of 30 but West of Ripley's & West of 360? The "Arlington (South)" location is west of Ripley's but near 20. In any case just seeking some clarification.

The time is just right it will give me enough time to go home after my shift and change then get to Le Madeleine's.

LaMadeleine's sounds great, and I'll try to be there at 9 AM. I'm sort of stuck with on-call duties for work. My cow-orker/counterpart is going back to work for the vendor! ACK!! As it goes, if any part of the system is going to fail, it will happen when there are plans to partake in LIFE.

Otherwise, I'll be at Ripley's at 10:00 AM.

[snip]
I like to go to LaMadeleine's for breakfast, which is a groups French-style bakery/bistros started in Dallas by a French lady who has since died. They have breads and pastries, fruit, fresh juices, and a few eggs dishes. I like their coffee. However, it's likely to run $6-$10 depending on your appetite.

IIRC, Kittykatkarma might live closer to that area and can make some suggestions.
Many moon's ago I did live in Grand Prairie/Arlington area, but am currently in Far North Dallas. I may have mentioned Grand Prairie in a post or a conversation.

KITTYKATKARMA CORRECT

The "south" location is on I-20, which my poor brain thought was where Ripley's is. Too many interstates in one town, humans shouldn't have to live like this.

IT IS FIRST ARLINGTON LOCATION

Arlington
2101 N. Collins, Arlington 76011
Lamar & Collins
TEL: 817-461-3634
Sun. - Thu. 6:30 AM - 10:00 PM
Fri. - Sat. 6:30 AM - 11:00 PM

There, I fixed it for you. :D
I knew what you meant in your earlier post, but I'm glad too that Hauteden asked for clarification for our out of town attendees.

You are dead on and I agree completely, "Too many interstates in one town, humans shouldn't have to live like this.".

Humans . . . I thought we were Texans? Texans are supposed to live on wide open flat plains. The biggest thing to worry about should be wagon ruts. But now these pesky little humans come in and throw down Seement. :D

Just a reminder that we're meeting at 10 am in the Ripley's parking lot.

See y'all there.

Just a note that I'll meet you in the Ripley's parking lot at 10. I don't care for LaMad -- strictly a personal thing. I'll be somewhere else having a REAL breakfast:).

Look for the guy with a much-faded Greek fisherman's hat and a JREF tag on his shirt.

Beanbag, you should have spoken up! I am more interested in the meet than the eat, if you know what I mean, so frozen burritos in the 7-11 parking lot would have worked just as well for me! I had no idea where to go, but I knew the location of La Madeleine's. Oh Well!

I posted some pics over in Forum Community, where I thought more people might see them

More to follow!
