RE: Pardalis: "anti-semitic garbage"

Nope - skepticism is to check and disproof critical sources - not about ignoring them blindly. You know the difference.
As I stated before, there is just too much information on the internet to try and verify every claim. Skepticism gives us some tools we can employ to avoid investigating everything.

Care to explain: Well, you avoided to check the list for major flaws concerning the time-table. That's not criticism or skepticism, it's simply ignorance.

Go ahead - check it and disproof it's timetable.
It's not the point of my argument.

I did not look at the entire list. But if you point is the Jews have been directing American foreign policy over the past several decades in the Middle East then I am in full agreement.

I still don't know why the jewish lobby seems to be so influential - which isn't Neo-Nazi thinking at all - besides natural skepticism. But the point I was trying to make is that Foreign Policies pretty much attract terrorism, not the "They attack us for our freedoms"-fallacy portrayed in the Media.

Of course Israel plays a major role in this discussion, also the US support for Israel. Well, shall I blame the US or Israel for that? Honestly, I don't know - because I think "We, the people" should have control over the governments foreign policies, not the richest lobby. :(

Of course there are many informations and therefore many biased views out there. I posted ONE SINGLE SOURCE, is that too much for you to reply with the "Too many informations"-Strawman? :D

Well, honestly - in all this argle bargle with Pardalis, I'm not that sure anymore what point you're trying to make. :(

Oliver, a strawman is a deliberate misrepresentation of someone else's position, how can this be either "humoristic" or "lovely"?

Again with the lobbies? Did you not read anything I wrote in the "When will the U.S. get democracy?" thread.

Besides, Oliver, all your Islamist buddies would have to do is quit blowing people up and set up their own lobbyists and they would be on an equal footing to the "Jewish lobby." That's what lobbies are all about.

You don't know the difference between a sarcastic comment coming from:

A. An America-Canada hater
B. A guy you likes Pardalis

May I ask: What sarcastic comment would you consider as more lovely: A or B?

The Jewish Lobby is a powerful group that intimidates American political leaders. They are terrified at the thought of saying one single word that could be considered critical of Jews or Israel. The Jews demand total support for Israel and our politicians deliver.

I've read the list and I didn't find any major flaws in it.

I'd like to submit the suggestion that there don't need to be any flaws in it for it to be considered propaganda. For example, there are absolutely no flaws in this piece, yet if it were written as a serious essay, it would certainly be considered propaganda. It takes the facts and presents them in a highly biased way. As does your list.

I apologize - I missed your reply within all the heat. :(

And I don't apologize for radical, Islamic thinking. Not at all. My point is that I see both sides and therefore both sides are pretty ignorant.

I made this example before - maybe you understand it:

Like little kids - everyone claims: "He started."
"No, it was him". "Thats not true, he did it."

What do parents say in this case - from their
neutral position? .... "I don´t care who started..."

That´s exactly my point of view: I don´t care
what you say - because I don´t care who started.
It does not matter at all "who started" concerning
our future.

Damn, that's good. I saw this on a Penn & Teller BS episode.

"Needle" might be the wrong translation, isn't it? I was saying: "I like Pardalis, that's why I also like to tweak his nose in a lovely way." :)
You are correct. My apologies for the wrong emphasis in translation; you must remember that I am not a native German speaker, I am actually an Australian who only learnt German (or started learning it) 15 years ago, and shades of meaning are something I can easily get wrong.

Well, I really can't blame them for this Idea - after all they also have a right for an own country - in this case "the land of their origin". Nevertheless, I have a hard time to understand the US-System if money has more influence than public opinion. It may be because the Media supports a pro-Israel view, but personally and honestly I think that this is not the whole truth.

Even if my sister, who I love to death and who is also very lovely, used a strawman on me, I would still get upset.

Never mind - I don't blame anyone for mistranslations because I know it's complicated to transform personal thoughts into another language the same way as it was initially supposed to explain.

Anyway: Your german is pretty good, I appreciate your efforts to expand your POV by your interest in other languages. :)

So you understand whenever I will ask if you're a little child to get upset by such comments?

Nothing to do with expanding my POV. It's because I now bloody live in bloody Germany and I would bloody starve* if I couldn't speak bloody** German.
_________

*Metaphorically, at least.

__________

**I still retain many Aussie phrasing patterns.

Well, that's your own fault if you prefer to live here instead the Bahamas. :D
How did you end up in this (currently) rainy, windy and cold place?
