From almost impossible to utterly impossible. 12 hours Saturday night and needing my rest for 12 hours Sunday means I'm out of the running. Hope you guys have fun.
 
My question is why is Ducky going to be in DFW when he clearly needs to come to LA and see the Ripley's museum HERE?

Sunday the 8th it is. Mark me as signed up. Just need to know Where and When.

My suggestion is, where ever we get together, be visible. Show something identifiable as a JREF'er. When I "hosted" the last get-together at Razzoos, I put up a small sign with Randi's picture (see up above at the top of the page, the half-Randi next to JREF) at the front counter, and had a larger version on the table. I told the staff to send anyone who recognized the satanic Santa Claus my way. Worked like a charm

So, where will we all meet, and at what time?
 
the place opens at 10 a.m. Tickets are $16, with a discount for senior or military. The Louis Tussaud's Palace of Wax is in the same building, and a combo ticket is $20. You can print a coupon for $1 off the combo price, from the web site here. I've been to wax museum in London, and I think it's worth the $3-4 additional dollars.

To meet: the parking lot will work, if no one wants to do anything before that. If anyone is up for breakfast, there some restaurants along the route. I like to go to LaMadeleine's for breakfast, which is a groups French-style bakery/bistros started in Dallas by a French lady who has since died. They have breads and pastries, fruit, fresh juices, and a few eggs dishes. I like their coffee. However, it's likely to run $6-$10 depending on your appetite.

IIRC, Kittykatkarma might live closer to that area and can make some suggestions.
 
I have a spare room in my house, if anyone needs it. I live slightly north of Fort Worth, about a 30-minute drive to the birthday party.

Actually, I have two rooms. One with a double bed, one with a single.

Actually, I have three rooms, because if more than one party needing a double bed needed a room, I could sleep in the single room. Being single and all.

I have a single guest coming, so far, that will be there Saturday and Sunday night.

I currently have no pets, and my house is close to spotless since no one is living there (it is for sale, I'm now living in Houston). Every room has access to its own bathroom.

I don't have much in the way of food there, so it's board, not board and breakfast.

PM me if needed, and I'll tell you who the other JREF houseguest is, in case you are mortal enemies or something.

ETA: My place is pretty convenient to DFW airport, and Love Field is 20-30 minutes away by a fairly simple route.

This all sounds terrific. As I don't know that area very well I can't suggest a meeting place but the Parking lot sounds fine to me. Getting Breakfast is also good because I will just be getting off shift.

I know I have a T-shirt around that may have some sort of JREF logo on it. ;)
