Fred Phelps to Picket Falwell Funeral

Anyone in the neighbourhood? Can we get some video footage of this? :D

I wonder what will happen when one of the Phelps die? What a zoo that will be. Payback's a bitch.

I wonder if Falwell's calling Phelps an idiot had something to do with it.

The Rev. Jerry Falwell called Phelps "another idiot" in an interview Monday in which he condemned the killing of Overstreet.
"It is a terrible thing when a bigot or even a deranged person because of his hatred sets out to hurt another human being." If shooting suspect Ronald Gay "is not deranged, I'm sure he will be penalized to the full extent of the law, which in my opinion should be execution."

wow, I read the Phelps quote. He almost sounds like Hitchens on CNN last night!

I'm certainly tuning in to tv to see this! I thought I would boycott the Falwell funeral, but heck, I'm ready to fly down for the festivities.

I nominate Phelps and Falwell for the 2007 Irony Award. You can't make this stuff up. Somehow, I doubt any of the biker groups who do such fine things for our fallen soldiers will be moved to defend Rev Falwell's funeral.

Any Patriot Guards riders care to comment?

I am sure enough Falwell supporters ride motocycles to achieve that effect.

I doubt they'll have to. Falwell's funeral will probably be the biggest thing that ever happened to Lynchburg. Phelps and his crew probably won't be able to get within a mile of the church or the cemetery.

And I wouldn't be surprised if some of them get handled a little roughly by some of Lynchburg's pious, God-fearing Christians.
