For those who haven't seen it:

Well I'd have to say that Fox News is getting better at dealing with this. Even Hannity was on his best behavior and both anchors appeared to deal strictly with facts.

Colmes came out especially strong, and actually impressed me with his handling of Tarpley.

I did a search, and I couldn't find another thread on this. I couldn't remember seeing one either. So I hope this isn't a duplicate.

Doc.

"you see the thing collapse from the middle, it's classic controlled demolition"

Where is the doggy icon everybody?

I think Webster Tarpley should be the new 9/11 truth leader...he can doo far more damage (to their movement) in his speeches than DRG, and that is saying something.

I think we should promote him as their new leader...lol

No wonder this dolt didn't want to debate Mark Roberts.

What a raving lunatic.

"building 6 is not completly destroyed. There's a CRATER in the roof"
If building 6 has a crater, why can't building 7 be also damaged? and thanks to that specific damage, it fell. Not all damages are the same.
"you can look at all the videos in the internet!"

Another thing I hate with these guys is that they don't shut up and throw out everything they supposedly know.
"Alqaeda is a CIA arab legion that was created by Robert gates who is now head of "something". Can't make out the name.
With this they walk away from the matters that ought to be discussed. They drift into the "OMG! look at this! It's all connected!" line of thinking.
They discard everything that doesn't fit this line of thinking.

Are you saying there's more than one bin laden?
"It's obvisouly a troup of actors." That ruined it all. That's speculation right there!!!

Something I don't get. There are two videos of bin laden, one saying he didn't do it, and another one saying he did do it? Can anyone clarify me on that? I'm just curious.

Initially he denied doing it.

In a later written interview, he stated he did this purposely.

All subsequent videos, he admits to being behind it.

There's no video of him denying it.

Al Jazeera published a letter allegedly from Osama Bin Laden shortly after the attacks in which he denied having any part in it.

Since then ample evidence has emerged to suggest he was heavily involved.

Apparently Tarpley hasn't read the Muckracker report on the "fat" OBL video.

Or understand video compression or grasp the concept of poorly shot footage, not to mention the confusion over the orginal aspect ratio.

Oh funny story on this matter, the first day of the Saddam Trial, there are two local cameramen covering the courtroom. One has his camera set to 4:3 aspect ratio, the other has it set to 16:9. It starts to be fed in, and the engineer sees the 4:3 pics, and assumes it's 4:3 and sets the feed up accordly, then the 16:9 shots start coming, he thinks he's going mad, and resets the arc to be 16:9, then a couple of 4:3 shots come in, and this poor SOB thinks he's seeing things.

Man I got handed these pictures, and it was like a freaking hall of mirrors in the fun house, and I had to fix em, So stuff was 4:3 arc'd to 16:9, some stuff was 16:9 that had been arc'd as 4:3, some of the stuff had even been run through two arc's trying to figure out what was going on. I had squat Saddam, Lardass Saddam, Abraham Lincoln Saddam, and Saddam who could play in the NBA. The best way to check if something is in the wrong aspect ratio is to look at the curvature of anything approaching round, and look for elogation or compression. I swear I spent fifteen minutes staring at Hussein's ear thinking to myself..."does this look right?"

Anywho Colmes and Hannity when up my estimation, by a good, oh I now have a remote insignificant modicum of respect for them.

I love how they reacted when he said Osama Bin Laden was a troop of actors... that was just brilliant...

Well I did say their rendition created quite a stir... ;)

Yeah the whole bit about removing the pound of flesh without taking any blood, using Star Wars Beam weapons, just, well, compared to the original Shakespearian text, was just was a bit "clunklity clunkilty" and lacked the flow n beauty of the original.

That's a good find, Doc, thanks much for the post.

I don't like Fox "News". In fact I loathe it. Tremendously disgusting, harmful, fear-mongering. A part of the problem with this country, not part of any constructive solution. Essentially, a 24-7 infomercial for the radical wing of the Republican Party and the Bush Administration.

Having said that, it's always good to see raving lunatics such as Tarpley being made to look like - an award-winning raving lunatic. What a blow for the CTs. Yippie-ki-yay!!!

Here is where the few liberals who do have talk shows in this country miss a golden opportunity. Colmes - I guess he's a bit liberal but I wouldn't claim him. But radio talk shows such as Randi Rhodes, Mike Malloy and so forth should be TAKING THE LEAD on destroying CTs on their shows. Instead - quite the opposite. They embrace them fully, or coyly hint that they "just may have something". Wow. There's a tremendous liberal blog called BARTCOP and good old Bart also misses the point completely here. A shame, because he's pretty much on the mark with so many other things.

Gotta hand it to Ed Schultz, at least. He's a liberal talk show host and he will NOT embrace the CTs. The others, though, just don't get it. And they give Fox "News" a brief moment in the blinding sun of reason and logic and truth-seeking. Short-sighted thinking. Always loops around to kick you in the butt.
