Noah's Ark a Reality

Yup! I only believe in real facts. :p ROTFL

Oh yeah! Moderator, the statement about the US south? Please?

Are you people actually serious?:eye-poppi

As one who lives about twenty minutes drive from Bob Jones University I see nothing inaccurate about Mark's comment. It may have been a bit tongue-in-cheek but the truth of the matter is that the southern US is home to a higher percentage of Biblical literalists/fundamentalists than the rest of the US. What in Mark's comments could possibly warrant moderator action?

What facts are those?

I wrote nothing that breaks the forum rules. I merely stated, tounge-in-cheek, that fundamentalist zealotry like this is more is prevalent in the Southern United States. Do you deny this to be true?

If you want to report me, go ahead. I got a feeling the mods will get a good laugh out of it.

I like the glass windows. Didn't realize Noah had access to large, clear sheets of plate glass..

Wasn't it shown that an Ark as large as it was mentioned in the Bible would sink or fall apart under it's own weight?

Not only would serious hogging and structural failure be a virtually inevitable fate for such a huge wooden vessel, but the dimensions would also serve to help destroy it. An un-powered, un-steerable vessel with those dimensions would be subject to broaching, which means that it would turn sideways into the waves. It would be pummeled to pieces.

Well, this is north of the Mason/Dixon line but not much:

It looks as though he is using 4' cores with 3" centers for construction. ;)

Let's see, this fellow has probably not seen a ship launched from dry dock lately. When the proper strength keel and hull bracing are put in place, all he has to do it finish the boat and wait for the waters to rise up to his docking location.

The water will come as a thief in the night, but no one knows when, last I checked. With that in mind, I suspect he needs to get very serious about his corrosion prevention and control program.

Let's not forget the obvious... err.... inconsistencies of putting samples of every single species of animal life on a boat that's 450 feet long.

What's the problem? They all seem to be there. Look, they've even got the octopuseseses.
