Guess I'll plug my talk. I'm going to repeat the paper presentation I did at TAM 5 at the Seattle Skeptic's meeting.

The Lecture
Cracking the Language Code –
Uncovering Secret Messages You Didn’t Know You Were Sending
An investigation in the roll that word choices (and the ways that questions, answers and information are stated) play in effective communication, and how such word-smithing is overlooked by skeptics resulting in less than desirable results.
The Speaker
Ginger Switzer: acclaimed speaker at The Amazing Meeting
I certainly wouldn't describe me as "acclaimed" but I should do better having given the talk once and having a lot more time, and with it being a smaller room. I was not used to speaking in a large auditorium like the one at TAM. (I sound pitiful, don't I? ;) )

I think Dr Harriet Hall is going to talk as well. Tim said so but I don't see it in the web announcement.

Hey, that's great! Just stay healthy! I hear those talks make the speakers sick. :-)

That was only because, like Billy Pilgrim, your stomach became unstuck in time. It traveled about an hour into the future, ate the rather bad chicken dinner, then returned to you just in time to sabotage your plans for the evening.

Even with the risk of internal organs heading off to Tralfamadore, we'd happily attend the event on the 28th, but we're already double-booked that night.

Are you channeling again, Desktop?

Of course not... channeling costs $495 for a 20-minute session, and no one here has paid up yet.

And what the hell is up with April 28th? We just got another party invitation for that night, adding to the complexity of already being double-booked. Everything is quiet all month, then bam! it all happens on the final Saturday.

:bump2
Reminder if any of you are coming, it's tonight.

Guaranteed to be the new and improved version. :D

I'm pleased to report, it went well, good turnout and a really nice bunch of skeptics. I hope to see more of them in future. Anyone in this area that hasn't met this group (like me until very recently) I highly recommend them.
