The example was meant to make only 1 point: When it comes to really important decisions (like life or death), it's a good idea to get an expert's opinion (or more) and rely on it or the consensus rather than your own opinion. I intentionally made it an unlikely scenario to emphasize that one point ;)

So you are saying people should hand over control of their lives to imaginary voices in their heads and/or people who make a living from selling books about their imaginary friends who live in Heaven?

You believe that God the creator of the universe inhabited the body of a human being, had that human being tortured and killed by other human beings so that different other human beings could come and visit him in heaven? How does that make any sense at all?

God takes a little bit of himself and puts it into Jesus.
Jesus does a bit of preaching (love, forgiveness, charity etc)which upsets the local authorities and gets himself crucified.
The bit of Jesus which was actually God in disguise, then goes back to heaven leaving behind a small group of people charged with spreading the word that he is not actually dead and that he suffered for others.
The word spreads amongst the credulous for centuries until they start torturing and killing people who refuse to believe them.
Now we are at the stage of history where people aren't generally killed for not believing.
You now predict that in 2012 the killing will start again, this time with Jesus himself on the frontlines of the slaughter.
Why would Jesus do this?
Why would Jesus want anyone to believe you?
How does being crucified by Romans have any impact on my personal conduct regarding anything your religion defines as a sin?

actually what you have is an exact model os a W88 warhead, so youve published as much of a modern nuclear warhead as is publicly available

as far as a "suitcase nuke" no such thing exists, the smallest nuclear device is an SADM (AKA "backpack nuke") using the W54 warhead with a minimum yeild of .01kt (this is a single stage, pure fission device, much different than the W88 and two-stage thermonuclear devices CTers love so much) however the problem here is that small warheads release a disproportionately large amount of radiation, this has nothing to do with being old technology, its a matter of physics, you can only make a nuclear device so small, and they release hge amounts of radiation, there is absolutely no way to "discretely" nuke anything, its an even bigger violation of the laws of physics than you claim the collapse of the WTC was

another thing that comes up a lot is a neutron bomb, but generally this seems to be based on a misundertsanding of the concept of a neutron bomb, they are still massively desctructive thermonuclear weapons, which would have leveled most of manhattan, and the release of radiation would likely have depopulated much of the NYC area

one last concept that i think spawned the suitcase nuke myth is the concept of a "dirty bomb" which was feared as a future terrorist attack, a dirty bomb is not a nuclear weapon, its really just a type of 'salted bomb" a conventional explosive containing non-fissile nuclear material (generally expected to be spent reactor fuel) the explosion will spread this radioative material over a large distance, espacially if its detonated on a plane in the air
