By the same token, some Americans listen only to Jon Stewart to get all their news and make their judgements through his prism.

I don't think the comparison is valid because no rational person sees Jon Stewart as anything other than a comedian. To use his own words on the subject, "The show that leads into mine has puppets making prank phone calls." When Rush Limbaugh says "If there really is global warming then how come a cold front is moving through Florida this weekend" I know he is joking, but I think there are a lot of people who consider that to be a serious comment that provides insightful evidence against liberal claims.

ETA: Now that I have re-read your comment, I want to say that I agree with you. The wisest move is to get one's news from a variety of sources (and recognize what the motivation of each source is).

I do not agree the limbaugh is joking in his statements, To me it is just like the guy who askes his wife if she wants to do a three way, and laugh, it is just a joke untill she says Yes and watch him accecpt so fast it will make your head spin.

You really think Limbaugh has good analytical skills? Sharp commentator I will grant, but I think his analysis is subpar. He makes so many mistakes in his logic on a regular basis that I see no reason whatsoever to say he has good analytical skills. That is, except as it relates to spin. He is good with spin.

Agreed. Occasionally his analysis is spot on, but the vast majority of the time it is indeed poorly contrived spin, and he's quite good at it. The sad thing is that so many fail to see through it. Ever heard him speak against unemployment insurance?
