Lessee if I got the stats right form the article: 6.4 years, 3 fewer deaths pre 100,000? I think that extends the average life span by about 27 seconds?

So you think dying is definitely inevitable? Although that was probably just a poorly worded headline, lots of smart people don't consider dying to be inevitable. It had been discussed at length in this forum.
I don't think any discussion of immortality has revolved around taking aspirin (unless Interesting Ian was involved at any point in which case all bets are off).
