Probably not as bad as sniffex (who really wants people using questionable explosive detection devices), this new device is sort of funny.

Basically, it's a device that's supposed to get rid of "resolution-sapping magnetic interference" from CDs and DVDs.
As anyone with even a little bit of understanding knows, CDs/DVDs are optical medium and not magnetic medium (like hard drives) and as such, are not really susceptible to magnetic interference.
Still, nice design, reminds me of those early (original series) Star Trek props.
