As an electronics design engineer of some, oh, 18 years now, I'm pretty secure in my knowledge of what can and cannot be done with audio, besides other things. I've used (and designed) instruments far more sensitive and reliable than those pointy things on the side of your head.

The longer you do something the harder it is to admit you are wrong. So you keep going deeper and deeper into the delusional dream world. That's why I keep my hobbies very short to prevent that from happening. If you do it longer than 5 years then there is a problem. You automatically assume you know more than someone who has done it a couple of years. So you feel the need to brag and laugh at him because it makes you feel better about yourself. The last thing you want is to realize all those years have gone to waste. You want to make yourself believe it meant something. So you go even deeper into the delusion and your knowledge becomes even more flawed. The more time that goes by the more you call yourself "expert" and you ignore everything that doesn't fit your own beliefs. When the cherry picking stage starts you need help fast!

I have seen this with all my hobbies. You know it's true but can't admit it. Unfortunately it's all over for them. They have locked themselves inside the box and swallowed the key.

I'm listening to my audio system using mp3. The improvement from tweaks is 10+ times bigger than the difference between 192 kbps mp3 and wav.

I'm not an audiophile, I'm just a visitor. In every hobby I do I become someone else. It's needed so I can learn what the hobby is all about. I can always pull myself out of it, but I go as far as possible. The problem with skeptics is that they don't bother going to the other side of the fence. If they go to the other side they get scared and quickly go back. They have already made up their minds and go to the other side just to find one thing to confirm their own beliefs. But I don't have any beliefs so I can go deeper into the hobby and get closer to truth, and since I can pull myself out of it I can go back to the other side of the fence and look at the data I have pulled out from that hobby.

I go to the extreme end of both sides of the fence.

Why does carbon fibre not need grounding? It is a conductive material, is it not? What is happening to all those uncontrolled eddy currents circulating in those pieces of paper?

I wouldn't be at all surprised if some of your 'muddy' sounding music was caused by the carbon fibre sheeting transferring small amounts of electricity to places it wasn't supposed to go to.

I hope you have fire extinguishers on hand for when your sounds get 'warmer'.

Right and wrong. Right, we often don't bother going there. Wrong, if we do go there, we aren't scared, as you say. I think horrified and disgusted is a more accurate term. Perhaps amused also.

If you had the faintest clue what skepticism is about, there'd be one less picture of some jackass with a jar of crystals glued to his head floating around out there.

You are on one side of the fence only, and it isn't the skeptical side. You do not know what skepticism is, and I doubt you ever will. You regard skepticism as a belief, and regard yourself as being without belief, so it's contradictory for you to claim to be a skeptic.

No, the skeptics in this forum don't know what true skepticism is. They just search for facts in books. A classical physics book is their bible and it's flawed.

Doing evil things is fun? Skeptics here remind me of terrorists. People need to be allowed to think for themselves and make their own truth instead of be forced to learn someone elses truth. A classical physics book is flawed and so is a Quantum physics book. Schools are evil who try to force the students into learning flawed knowledge.

You obviously need to replace your telephone wire with quantum gold cable, then you'll be able to clearly hear coherent gurgling noises instead.

This is absolutely true. Whenever I tried to answer quantum physics questions, the answer in the book never matched mine. I know they're wrong, I've already built my truth and they don't match up.

I'm working on it. I've replaced all the telephone and electrical cable in my house with quantum gold stuff and I'm in the process of negotiating to have the current cabling from my house to the local electricity substation and the telephone exchange replaced as well. Next step, the national networks!

Time wasted? Heh, I'm happy in my knowledge, confident in my skills, make enough money to live very well and travel to faraway lands on occasion. I enjoy my life immensely.

No, I quit school when I was 14 years old. Afterwards I learned more on my own in a few months than 8 years in school. You need to have freedom to use your own mind.

Well, so much for Mr. McGowan being an engineer.

As I mentioned on the PSA forum, you just need a spectrum analyser program capable of a cross fft. If you do any serious work in audio, you have the tools and know how to use them.
Scam artists talk a good line, but fall down flat on the technology.
Guess where I place Mr. McGowan and PS Audio?
