But it looks like the steel beams have magically healed! The gaping plane-shaped hole doesn't appear until after the explosion.

But seriously. You answered your own question in the quoted segment above. I went ahead and bolded/italicized/underlined it for you. There was an explosion after the plane impact. Planes do that when flying into objects not intended for planes to fly into.

I'm no physicist, but I'm sure that any explosion probably had an effect on visibility of the gaping hole.

Now, I'm sure you'll come back with "It was just explosives. There was no plane." To which I ask you to ponder which would be easier:

- Secretly, methodically, and invisibly placing explosives over a number of floors in the outline of a commercial airliner on the south face of Tower 2, while also secretly, methodically, and invisibly placing explosives on the eastern and northern facades of the building to create the illusion that a plane travelling at 500+ mph had just exploded through the building (nevermind having to go through all the trouble of planting plane debris and fooling hundreds of thousands of eyes along with a healthy dose of devices called video cameras that would capture said incident...)

OR!

- Flying a plane into the building.

It will be self-explanatory when you wake up in the morning with a massive hang over. Then you will realize that what may seem sensible whilst under the influence is in fact very stupid.

The resolution explanation is perfectly sound and reasonable, but we should also consider the fact that the plane is not yet fully engulfed in the tower, so the hole is in the process of forming. In other words, the plane-shaped hole, as it were, is occupied by the plane in that picture!

Putting aside the fact that in your photo the compression has blurred the image to the point that the face of the bulding is an almost homogeneous grey I have one word for you, "engines".

Both engines are visible and thus the wings are not already 'inside'.

At 500 mph the plane is travelling at 733 feet per second. In a TV quality video recording 30 frames are taken per second. In the time it takes to record1 frame the plane has moved 24.4 feet.

Don't forget what we see isn't an explosion, but a fireball from burning fuel. So as well as planting explosives they needed to plant an estimated 500 gallons of Jet fuel (the amount of fuel NIST estimated was burned off in the intial UA175 fireball).

Here are 9 frames to study. Frame 6 is the same as the one frame I posted on the other thread. The two white puffy shapes in frame 6 are explosions, not the engines. There is plenty enough resolution to see the gash in the side of the building, if it were there during this time frame.

Look at this frame from a different video, showing the gash in WTC1. The towers are much farther away, so the resolution on them is far worse, yet you can clearly see the gash. You can even make out the pieces of aluminum cladding that were protruding. It is absurd to contend that the resolution in the above video is too poor to notice the huge plane-shaped hole.

Curious, these explosions of yours. They are roughly the same size as the engines, and they show no signs of expansion.
