Montel Williams Appearances in Birmingham

According to the Montel Williams Newsletter, he will be making some appearances in the Brimingham, AL area:
On Monday, tune in to the 5 PM news on ABC 33/40 for an in-depth interview with Montel. Then on Tuesday morning, listen to Montel on the radio: first at 7:18 AM on WZZK with Rick and Bubba; then at 7:40 AM on the Rob and Shannon show on WMJJ.

On Tuesday, watch Montel on ABC 33/40 during Good Morning Alabama and again during 33/40 News at 11 AM. Then come out and see Montel in person at the Partnership for Prescription Assistance press event in Birmingham.

If anyone gets a chance, watch/listen to these, and see if anyone asks any questions about Browne and the Shawn Hornbeck case. Might be interesting.
 
Robert, has Montel released any statement at all concerning the Sylvia brouhaha? I've noticed all her recent Wednesday appearances on his show are re-runs.

It sounds like these are appearances regarding the prescription drug program and not his show. The interviews will probably steer more towards how the drug program works and how to get free prescriptions.

I don't believe Montel has issued a statement, and he still is affiliated with Sylvia, as far as I know. He *should* have new shows beginning this week, but I don't know how far ahead they tape. I would think that because of the timeliness of her "predictions", it would have been AFTER Hornbeck was found, though.

He has released no comment to my knowledge, and has apparently refused comment when media outlets have tried to get one.

I don't think the recent spate of reruns has anything to do with recent events.

Yes, but I wouldn't be surprised if he gets asked anyway, especially by a caller.

I've been thinking the same thing. All repeats. And the ones that were on the last 2 Wednesdays were the same ones I saw only a few weeks earlier. I can't help but think that there's something to all the repeats whether Montel says anything or not. But I can't wait to see if he does. And when Sylvia is on his show next he and Sylvia will probably ignore all the recent hype and just go on as they normally do. What can they say? Oh, yeah, that the Atheists are out to get them. :p

Robert, I have a bit of intelligence to report. I'm probably reading too much into this but it might be important.

I have a close friend deeply into woo-woo: Masaru Emoto, New Age, Dan Millman, telepathy, alternative medicine, the works. She's a fan of Sylvia Browne, needless to say, and has given me several of her books for my birthday (all of which I long ago recycled, unfortunatly.)

My friend was on the waiting list for a taping of a Montel show with Sylvia Browne for a long time, almost three months I think, and finally got tickets on January 3rd for Friday, January 26th arrival time 12:30pm and invited me. Then some really strange things started happening.

First, we got a call telling us the taping was moved from 12;30 to sometime around 11 and then back to 12 then a call informing us it was moved from the studio to a local upscale restaurant, then a call telling us it was moved back to the studio, then several confirmations that we were going to be there and then on the morning of the show, a staff member called my friend to tell her the show was cancelled altogether but we'd be first in line for the next Sylvia Browne episode. It's now the middle of February and we still haven't been invited back.

My friend was really disappointed her chance to meet Sylvia Browne disappeared and so was I, honestly, because I was really looking forward to seeing her in person.Plus, I had called in sick for work cause I if figured if you're going to a 12;30 taping it's going to take at least 2 hours and there's no sense in coming into work at 3 or leaving at 10. My boss was very unpleasant to me over the whole thing...

Don't know if this has anything to do with the reruns and Shawn Hornbeck but it smells fishy.
 
Sounds like a typical Sylvia "sideshow tent" operation, to be frank. :rolleyes:
 
Maybe this is just wishful thinking on my part but that date was exactly two weeks after Shawn Hornbeck was found...and since Montel's show usually tapes two or three episodes in one day and it is my understanding that they usually fly Sylvia Browne in to do a month's worth of Sylvia Browne Wednesdays in about three days...could it be that the 26th was the day of the next taping after the Shawn Hornbeck story broke and they were forced to cancel and lie low.

My guardian angel, Curly Joe, tells me Sylvia's relationship with Montel is no longer with us. Of course, only god is 100% correct. Guardian angels are only right 99% of the time.

Wait a minute...that's why there could have been weeks of re-runs! It's cause the January 26th shows (including the one I was supposed to go to) were, whatever the reason, cancelled so there were no new episodes to broadcast!

It looks like the re-run mystery has been solved :).
 
They cannot keep on showing re-runs. Bad for the ratings. They would only be showing re-runs if they were intending to bring her back. I would say they will bring her back at the start of March, after they have recorded the sessions at the end of February. If I am wrong then Curly Joe is right.
 
Hey, this is SWEEPS month. Anything they could do to enhance ratings is possible. If they are showing reruns (which is almost never done during SWEEPS month), that is a clear indicator of ... something..
 
They certainly couldn't risk an audience member asking Sylvia about the Hornbeck brouhaha so close to the occasion.
 
That issue is easy to deal with. There are heaps of possible answers
'I am not always right'
'Glad he is alive'
'Edit that question out'
etc

Did she go into hiding after she said the miners were OK when they dead?

She could be in hiding because of what Robert has done to her.
