"Evolution isn't science"

Taller than when a few hundred years ago? I'll give you that...A few thousand years ago? you are wrong.
Again are we living longer than humans did a few hundred years ago?...I'm sure...but are we living longer than we were before disease or before the ozone was depleted or before man ate only vegatation...not acording to the bible...oh wait thats not true.
oh and by the way Noah lived for 950 years!

600 years - 950 years....my mistake (still only the bibles word for it, no other proof)

You are living in time of science being able to defeat disease better then anytime in recorded histroy. Things are getting better not worse as far as healthcare is going

BTW - it was real nice of god to create cancer.

Sorry, but I am right about the taller questions. A number of skeltons found at archeological digs can testify to this.

Ozone layer - if you look at the current trends, the hole in the ozone layer is decreasing since the phase out of CFC's

1. Is the Bible historically accurate (Y/N)?

2. Is the Bible God's law (Y/N)?

3. Is the Bible inerrant (Y/N)?
Boy those are tough ones but I will say Y to all of them now answer mine please.

1)Are humans still evolving? (Y/N)
2)Did life begin from a pre-biotic soup? (Y/N)
3)Was Nebraska man created from one tooth?(Y/N)
4)Do you like me ?(Y/N)

1) Yes
2) Unknown
3) Nebraska man was a forgery exposed by scientists but propagated by dishonest creationists.
4) You'd be doing better if you would listen to what people are telling you.

Wow even before they existed?

And send is only begotten Son to die for out sins for that we may inherit everlasting life.

Large bones in stone graves in Williamson County and White County, Tennessee. Discovered in the early 1800s, the average stature of these giants was 7 feet tall.

I guess thats what I get for listening to Al Gore...My bad

Wow even before they existed?

You cannot defeat what does not exist.

What a silly comment.

And send is only begotten Son to die for out sins for that we may inherit everlasting life.

Did not happen.

Reference please.

1)Are humans still evolving? (Y/N)

Sure.

2)Did life begin from a pre-biotic soup? (Y/N)

Depends what you mean by "soup" and what you mean by "life". Currently, the best theory is that replicators such as DNA (or something similar) arose from non-replicating molecules. Of course, DNA molecules aren't alive.

But, what does the origin of life have to do with the theory of evolution? It deals with what happens once life exists and natural selection started working.

3)Was Nebraska man created from one tooth?(Y/N)

Yes. The scientist screwed up. Of course, within a decade or so, it was other scientists that showed him to be wrong. Science is self-correcting that way. Creationists, on the other hand, still think plants existed before the sun and the world is 6000 years old.

3) Nebraska man was a forgery exposed by scientists but propagated by dishonest creationists.
Ahhh there you go turn that whole ordeal around to our dishonestness. It was the creationist fault that it was made up. they were y?n questions so I can only gice give you credit for 1 out of 4.OHHH 25% thats not passing!

Taller than when a few hundred years ago? I'll give you that...A few thousand years ago? you are wrong.

Really? All archeological and paleontological evidence (skeletons, for example) shows that, as is expected, humans were shorter thousands of years ago than today. Not one of the alleged "giants" described in Genesis was ever found.

Ahhh there you go turn that whole ordeal around to our dishonestness. It was the creationist fault that it was made up.

I'm turning it around because you are presenting Nebraska man as a criticism of evolution. Even at the time it was not considered a scientifically sound extrapolation. That creationists have nothing better to do than to drag up non-issues is very telling of just how little they have.

When ARE you going to apologise for quoting Darwin out of context by the way?

Why, if God is such a benevolent being, would he require his "son" to die for our "sins"? I mean, if he is truly omnipotent, couldn't he just forgive us our sins without killing someone? And don't get me started on the rationality of "sin" to begin with.

I don't have any information on your supposed discovery of "large bnes in stone graves", but 7-feet ain't "giant". There are a number of men in the NBA that are over 7-feet and aren't considered "giant". Besides, I question your statement to begin with.

And if you mean that you are listening to Al Gore regarding Global Warming, that has nothing to do about the hole in the Ozone.

You knew what I meant - so I am not going to answer that one

And send is only begotten Son to die for out sins for that we may inherit everlasting life.

I am leaving that one alone - that's another thread altogether

There will always be statical anomalies

It's a pity you don't follow this advise on the bible

How?

Best according to who?

Oh I don't know everything. I mean there must be a begining life form right?
The scientist screwed up
NOOOOOOO, and I thought they were honest people working for an honest pay.

1) Yes. Evolution is a slow process, but we may be able to see some hints at it in our lifetime.
2) Yes.
3) No.
Nebraska man was created by an illustrator, and his picture had nothing to do with the tooth. The picture had nothing to do with the actual tooth, or really anything scientific at all, and even the illustrator admitted that it was fanciful.

Scientists were never that impressed by the tooth, and of course Scientists were the ones who proved that the tooth was not human.

4) I don't even know you, and all I know about you is that you are on a message board posting a bunch of statements about things on which you are badly misinformed. Lots of people here like you enough to try and straighten you out.

maybe you missed this part...
the average stature of these giants was 7 feet tall.

NOOOOOOO, and I thought they were honest people working for an honest pay.

Please explain - how does this translate into 'infallible'?

Oh, and when are you going to apologise for quoting Darwin out of context?

Student: But prof, what about the Neanderthals? They are supposed to be the ones we most recently evolved from...

Nobody thinks modern humans evolved from Neandethals. Both evolved from the same ancestor. They were our cousins, not our grandfathers.

Oh, and when are you going to apologise for quoting Darwin out of context?
lol I am sorry he said that...how about this one?
