Hey. you might be on to something there. We could start a Citizenship for military service program. That way the chickenhawks won't have to actually, like, fight in the wars they dream up. Not that they do anyway.

Even the brief mention of climate change is somewhat of an admission of reality.

Maybe conscription intead of deportation for illegals as well.

Yep, he wants that many over the next 5 years:

One of the first steps we can take together is to add to the ranks of our military — so that the American Armed Forces are ready for all the challenges ahead. Tonight I ask the Congress to authorize an increase in the size of our active Army and Marine Corps by 92,000 in the next 5 years. A second task we can take on together is to design and establish a volunteer Civilian Reserve Corps. Such a corps would function much like our military reserve. It would ease the burden on the Armed Forces by allowing us to hire civilians with critical skills to serve on missions abroad when America needs them. And it would give people across America who do not wear the uniform a chance to serve in the defining struggle of our time.

Now that you mention it, when I was in the Navy I remember a lot of Philipinos were in the Navy. I forgot about that.

Realistically most illegal immigrants would probably not be fit to serve. It is better when they have the luxury to pick from among candidates. Today they probably have to take almost any warm body to fill their quotas.

Contained in the Netski Mash-cubator (pat. pend.)and maintained at 90 deg. F.
Bubbling wildly.
Might just become poteen. Suitable for running your car on, too.

It was about increasing the size of the military, not about putting 92,000 more troops in Iraq.
