LC:FC in PREproduction for over 1 year?!

Try as I might, I can't find anything about who's going to distribute this epic. Usually, three months before premiere, you'd have a distributor lined up, wouldn't you? New Line doesn't seem to want anything to do with it, and even One Roof isn't shown as distributor. Thoughts?

Well, I think I've found out how they're going to be getting LC:FC to the masses................

Remember, it's all about the truth! $22 million is not enough to make a film. Also, he'll be donating that money to 9/11 victim's charities. He will trump "World Trade Center" and "United 93"

My guess of the bat would see "United 93" take several statues and "Children of Men" taking best European. "United" because it the patriotic thing to do and "Children" because its the PC thing to do in a time with growing concern about environmental destruction and it's impact on the human species.

Interesting theory, but there is no "Best European" category at the Oscars.

"Male Mail" won a golden globe didn't it? :D

</sarcasm>
Well with a plot summary like this, how could it not?
*WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD!* Do not read if you are intending to see this fine film!
Plot Summary for
Male Mail
Eddie Green hates his life. He hates his job, he hates his wife, his hates his home, everything. When Eddie reaches the end of his tether and decides to end it all, he has a vision of Pinocchio. Pinocchio tells him that the way to escape his miserable existence is not to kill himself but to cut himself into little pieces and mail himself away limb by limb, replacing what he chops off with wood. It turns out not to be as easy as it sounds.

I honestly can't tell if Dylan is really as delusional as he appears or if he is merely trying desperately to milk the moment, knowing it's the only shot he's ever going to get.

I really would like someone to post the imdb entry for LC:FC on the LCF and make sure to point out and bold LEVY's name as a financial backer. That would be hilarious considering what those anti-semitic woowoos think about the joooooos.

While they're at it, that bold poster could also point out that Jackie Tepper is manager of acquisitions for New Line. So not only is Dylan taking money from the Joooooooos, he's selling the Twoofers out with the other hand.

Dylan, you got some 'splainin' to do.....

ETA: No wonder he tried so hard to keep it a secret.

But he wants so badly to make it to Hollywood! He knows Loose Change is the only thing he's got.

I'd agree with you on that. He's so deeply invested in that now, it HAS to succeed or else he'll have to abandon his Hollywood dream and go out and get a real job. LC has given him a modicum of notoriety (I wouldn't call it "fame") and probably a better standard of living than most 23-year-old film-school rejects have.

I almost feel sorry for him. Watching his impending destruction is like watching a train wreck: it's horrible but you can't look away. But then, I think about the way he's pissing on the graves of 3,000 people and any inclination I have towards pity melts away.

I think that if he really believed the world truly was the way it would have to be for his dipsh** movie to be even partially accurate, he'd fear for his life every moment of every day. Every car ride could be his last. Every waitress could be a NWO black-ops ninja assassin, stealthily dropping the undetectable brain hemorrhage-inducing poison into his drink.

Or, I dunno. Maybe he does.

Wow. Dylan is now claiming over 3000 screens for the US release. Is there really any way in hell this could be even remotely true?

Um...is he nuts?
3000 screens.

You know, people with home theaters do not count as an actual theater, Dylan

Lord of the Rings opened in slightly over 3000 screens.

And your movie is no Lord of the Rings.

could be he's lying. or he just yet again, that he doesn't understand "hollywood" or he just doesn't know what a film maker really is.

btw, united 93 opened to 1,795 screens.
