How Loony are the Loons?

I've seen no discussion of that, in fact it's not something I've seen suggested before. I'd be surprised if it were true, because even Flight 93 had, what, 37 passengers, and that seems a lot of people to turn away. And how would it save them money? Presumably the plane still had to get to San Francisco because its next flight would be scheduled from there, so surely you can't just "not take off"? Makes no sense to me. Although I'm not familiar with US internal flight policy either, so perhaps I'm missing something...

Exactly. I used to take a late flight from Phoenix to KC every week. There was usually only 10-15 people on it, on a 737 that could hold 130+. Definite money-loser for Southwest, but they had to have the plane in KC for an early morning flight the next day.

Or maybe they are just going to blow up something in KC? Like Royals Stadium. Yeah, it's sitting empty (even in baseball season) and now that Stephen Glass is the owner, and he also owns Wal-Mart, and he's losing money, and they just renewed the lease on the stadium, so he's, like, on the hook for millions, and like, it all fits, man! And we've never had a JOOOO! on the Royals, so they want to blow it up, too, so they can park the USS Liberty in the empty space as a warning to us all!

Prove me wrong, you left-brained morons!

"aggle-rithm - Maybe if you utilized the easy-to-use quote feature, it would make it appear less like you're talking to yourself, and thus you'd appear less of a nut."

Are you really that mindless that you can't simply look for the [ " ] at the begining of a "quote" and the end?

It's simple, people have been doing it for years and they still do it..... There are tones of sites that don't have the quote functions and they can seem to follow along, but you people can't???

This is another reason that America is losing it's grasp in the world as a leader, people like you need to have everything handed to them on a silver platter and can't think for yourself. Such a shame.

StainRemover, I have an important question for you:

SWYgeW91IGhhdmUgYW55dGhpbmcgaW1wb3J0YW50IHRvIHNheSwgd2h5IGRvIHlvdSBpbnNpc3Qgb24gdGhyb3dpbmcgdXAgcm9hZGJsb2NrcyB0byBjb21tdW5pY2F0aW9uLCBzdWNoIGFzIHVzaW5nIHRoZSBxdW90ZSBmZWF0dXJlPyAgSWYgeW91IGRvbid0LCB0aGVuIHdoeSBhcmUgeW91IHdhc3RpbmcgYXJlIHRpbWU/IEFyZSB5b3Ugc3R1cGlkLCBvciBqdXN0IG9ic3RpbmF0ZT8NCg==

I believe this is a fair question and I expect a reply. You being an "electronics engineer", you shouldn't have any problem decoding the Base64 text.

i was once on a 737 from nashville to little rock all by myself, well, me and 3 stewardesses...good times :)

i asked why they even bothered to take off, answer: they needed the plane in little rock for another flight

You must realize that money is a moving factor and if you follow the money then things will start to make sense. I don't understand it all,

VGhlIHVuZGVyc3RhdGVtZW50IG9mIHRoZSBtaWxsZW5pdW0uIA0K

but it sure does not look good for the parties involved so far. Here is a HYPOTHESIS: Perhaps Larry was guaranteed a substantial amount of money if he turned his eyes to what was happening?

Just look at ALL the money that has been un-accounted for. BILLIONS! Do you think this could happen without 9/11?

are real quick to point out that the FBI was in charge so the NTSB would not analyse the plane debris, but you gloss over the fact that if they were doing a REAL investigation that they would contain all that debris after the search and rescue phase and obtain as much evidence as they could. This did not happen.

Yes, but how many of them have the world looking on while it is being done and them seeing a crazy man driving a car on fire through thier house?

Do you think that they have access to the information? The Senate can't even get it, and you expect the Insurance companies to?

You throw dirt in the face of people who have searved this country to give you the very freedom you currently have, and I would just rather you say THANK YOU for your service WE have provided to your sorry arse and SHUT THE HELL UP!

AHEM!

So excuse me if I'm somewhat less than impressed by this lame argument.

I like how he's talking about throwing dirt in the faces of those that fought (or searved, whatever that is... perhaps a cooking term?) for our freedom, while also saying that the government carried out 9/11 and we don't know about Special Ops missions. Also, claiming that the government did everything, but there are higher ups in the government that are now suspicious is highly suspect. How did the big conspiracy stay a secret, then? I'm sure he's got some BS perfectly valid explanation.

I love that CTist can distinguish between the monolithic EVIL GOVERNMENT and the people that actually make up the government. It's not like it's a sentient entity, it exists only because of its members. Conspiracies fall apart because its members are not some hive mind that always works as one.

And claiming that the government causing 9/11 is just like the missions our special forces carry out every day is extremely dishonest.

RemoveBush, please stop posting until you learn to write (and use the damn "quote" feature).

Yes, this man should have been given the Medal of Honor.

Definitely. I was reading a book once about the events that earned a few Medal of Honor winners their medals... holy [rule 8] that was something else. That normal people are willing to rise to such heroism to help their fellow soldiers says a lot about human courage.

But, according to the CTists, no one involved in this insane 9/11 plot would be willing to say anything.

I call BS on that.

More points...

1. The load factor on the fuel...note that the planes were on transcontinental flights, and hijacked right after take-off, and quickly flown into their targets. So they were heavily-loaded with fuel on take-off, time of hijacking, and time of impact.

2. If the WTC was facing condemnation for housing code violations, that's news to me and my friends who worked there, including the guy who was operations manager of the entire place.

3. Passenger manifests and boarding passes don't include cellphone numbers, cellphone numbers of family, and their names, and certainly don't tell what passengers will say in their last phone calls to their families. How were they faked again?

4. The passengers were gassed on the plane? How were the planes modified for that purpose, who did that, what gas was used, and where did it come from?

5. Got anything better than your hatred of the US government and your beliefs in conspiracy theories to throw at us?

6. What do you think about Jews? Don't give me the yearbook answer about "Zionism," or "Israel," or the "Palestinians," or about Holocaust denial and memorialization...what do you think about Jews?

7. Rule8 is the reason I use goofier phrases to reflect irritation, like "by Willy Dingo."

Dorie Miller wasn't the only one...

dont deny the bravery of our cooks in uniforn

...seriously....dont, lol...dorie miller

Alex Haley, author of "Roots," did 20 years in the Coast Guard, and was a Steward's Mate in World War II. He was a Steward's Mate 1st, but working in the Coast Guard's PR office in New York, when they changed his rate to Journalist, which was his rate upon retirement. He served on Coast Guard cutters on convoy escort duty in the South Pacific.

And in the opening days of the Battle of the Bulge, Army cooks were yanked out of their kitchens to serve as riflemen, and they died fighting.

"Soldiers First" was the sign over the stage at the Defense Information School in Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indiana, where I did some of my training, and that fort also trained the Army's Finance Corps and all the services' postal clerks. But those two words were emphasized to us...when not learning how to write press releases or move the mail, those kids hit the obstacle courses, the rifle ranges, and the field exercise sites.

so nearly 25 pages and Remove Bush can't be bothered to use hte Quote function

GUYS, he's a TROLL . nothing more. PLEASE STOP responding to this idiot until he learns that to be considered no a troll, to use the forums FUNCTIONS as they were meant to.

Exactly. He can talk all he wants about how quotation marks are good enough for him, but it makes his posts very hard to read, and impossible to follow.

Don't they require you to do things with computers to become an electrical engineer... or electronics engineer... or whatever he claims to be really, 100% definitely is?

No, that's only for the lesser techs. He can't be bothered with such things as formatting, readabilty, or knowing how that glowing box on his desk works. He still thinks the mouse is a microphone!

He has transcended above the base level of "readability" that we expect to a level of exalted clarity matched only by Christopher "Concrete Core" Brown.

If only we would cast off the shackles of "expecting things to make sense", "using correct English grammar and spelling", and "expecting evidence" then it would all become clear.

He doesn't use the "quote" function because he's ascended above it.

Or because he doesn't know how. Or because he's being an ass. Whatever.

Do not use insults to argue your point.
