I can't help but just shake my head in disbelief when reading rants like these. The lack of education shown is just appalling; I mean, if they wanted to tout a conspiracy theory, they could at least come up with something that couldn't be so easily disproven.

To be honest though, I think the number of CT's out there belies a much bigger problem here in the US, and that is our crumbling education system. If these people (or all of us for that matter) were made to actually learn in school, instead of just reciting "facts" from school books in order to pass a grade, maybe everyone would have a little better reasoning skills.

But of course, we live in an age where, if little Timmy can't pass the 4th grade for some reason, the answer is not to focus on helping Timmy, but to "fix" the standards so that everyone, including Timmy, can pass on to the next grade.

I'm just thankful that the JREF is here to do it's part in educating America, I just wish our school system was on board...

What bothers me is that it's a very small step between "I believe the government is evil, and those that work for them are planning a coup" and "I need to take physical action to save the country from evil men". We can see this happen with the militia movement in the 90s. At first you can dismiss them as kooks. After Oklahoma, it was clear that it had crossed the line.

Let's put it this way. If you really believed that thousands of NY firemen, FBI officers, Police, military personnel and government officials were involved in mass murder in order to institute martial law, then why *wouldn't* you be taking arms against this alleged evil? It really is only a matter of time before one of the kooks cross that line.

Then again, given their limited knowledge in demolitions, chemistry and basic physics how much harm could they do?

"Huh. This thermite doesn't take down buildings. I wonder why it worked so well for the Jews?"

Sadly, there isn't a solution to this inevitable threat. You can't preemptively arrest people for being a loon.

working it out that Alex Jones is a zionist whore. His job is to hold

That's just scary...

I know that last bit doesn't exactly fall under "Conspiracy to commit murder" (you have to have a specific target if I remember correctly), but still, I wonder how legal that is?

I really hope the FBI is at least watching this guy. Whether it confirms his beliefs to himself or not, messages like that should most deffinately not be ignored.

This is why I'm scared. Lincoln observed that if America was to be destroyed, it would be from within, and he had a point. And it does not take that much knowledge of demolitions, chemistry, and physics to cause chaos.

Aside: I was attending grade school down the block when the Weathermen blew up that building on Greenwich Village's 11th Street back in 1971. They were making bombs, and something went wrong. It doesn't take much.

Back to the point: these guys are not too likely to take over the government, despite their fantasies of doing so in a situation where the US has degenerated into a "Mad Max" or Stephen King's "The Stand" condition, and they are able to walk into government buildings and take over the armories and computer terminals. Such a scenario is more than unlikely -- despite our problems, Americans do pull together in times of crisis, as 9/11 actually shows.

(It's also worth nothing that these guys' scenarios of taking power depend on other things falling apart so they can take power without any risk. Some revolutionaries they are)

They are, however, capable of causing all kinds of chaos, as Oklahoma City and "The Order" have shown, and that would cause needless tragedy and loss of innocent life.

I'll also note that if these CT'ers by some miracle were able to take power, they would face a very quick counter-revolution, most likely led by diaffected adherents believing the new leaders are "selling out." Revolutions are nourished by the blood of their makers.

Their intense paranoia also mitigates against them taking power...they can't build up a mass movement when they think all the masses are government shills.

Of course, this will not be the case when I take power! :D

Though this person indicates he/she is a scholar, I seriously doubt that! They fail to acknowledge that PHYSICS is something that cannot be denied. Physics is something that PROVES that the WTC's were brought down by something OTHER than a plane and fires. Here are some very simple questions for you scholar..... 1) What is the Free fall speed of an object dropped from the top of the WTC's? 2) What was the speed at which the buildings fell?? 3) Provide Scientific evidence by experimentation or imperical evidence that the core would have been completly destroyed and that the concrete would have vaporized in mid air like it did.

Since, as you say, it can be "easily disproven" then by all means enlighten us. After all, there are hundreds of HIGH level government officials and Military personnel that believe 9/11 was something other than what we were told. So are all these people "high on crack" as you imply?

I won't hold my breath on a civilized debate, as most of the comments have shown that you simply want to attack and call names of those people who do not follow in lockstep like you do with the official version.

I bet that most of you deniers believe that JFK was killed by a lone gunman??? Despite the fact that ballistics has shown that a bullet will enter the body with a small hole and exit in a larger one. JFK had a small hole in his forehead and the back of his head was blown out. Scientific proof, but you still deny this fact!
