An overlooked villain in the WTC Con$piracy

Hi all, back after a couple of days on travel, and I see we're still riled up with the Twin Trolls 28th Puppet and (Grand?) Wizard. Not my cup of tea. Let me ask something more serious.

Over the last two days I spoke with members of emergency reponse personnel at a few federal facilities, mostly Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) teams. Offhand we talked about the September 11th attacks. Several of them were deployed to assist at the World Trade Center. They relayed to me an experience I haven't seen printed elsewhere -- that the response and cleanup were tightly controlled by labor unions within the FDNY and others.

This came up because we were teasing them about their sundry jackets and patches with identifying marks. Apparently, those who made the trip from the West Coast originally showed up wearing FEMA jackets, and were either ignored or deliberately steered to the sidelines. "We've got all the help we can handle," they were told.

Being savvy people, however, they went back to their truck, ditched the FEMA gear for the classic yellow firefighter's coat, and were instantly drafted into the thick of the action.

If you were looking for a conspiracy, sorry, I don't have one. But this is still interesting to me if true. The above is just an anecdote -- has anyone heard something similar? Anything in the press? Thanks!

Could quite possibly be more of an expertise sorting-out methodology. It would appear that people with firefighter skills would have been more useful and compatible for the situation than people with (presumably) rescue only skills.

Just guessing, of course. I'll take correction!

I think there may also be a degree of preciousness from the FDNY regarding Ground Zero. Understandable considering how many of them died there. We see it with the way the FDNY reacted when they pulled them off the site - fighting with the NYPD etc.

I think when it happened FDNY claimed the site as their own, and weren't overly excited about anyone else getting involved.

This is even collaborated prior to the event. Commanders said that managing the operations on 9/11 was very difficult if not impossible because firemen were coming down to the WTC from all over the city, ones that hadn't been called, ones that were off duty, and they weren't under orders, they didn't report in, and no one really knew what anyone was doing.

Frankly it sounds like they were over-eager.

No one can dispute their courage and dedication, but I think there were times they let their emotions get the better of them.

And again, let me emphasise, they lost over 300 of their own in that place, so being emotional is not only understandable, but expected.

What amazed me was the looting going on by the rescue workers.

You will always get bad apples in a large sample group, no matter how devout and wholesome the intentions of the general group.

Heck, take a look at medieval priests!

Actually, just take a look at modern day priests.:boxedin:

There is rumoured to be a video of of firefighters stealing 400,000 bucks from an ATM.

Those types of people are the true disrespectors.

Whatever I say about 9/11, I would never steal from the graves while the bodies are still being pulled out

There were also rumours that about half the world's gold was stolen from the WTC. Rumours often aren't true.

1. Rumours. Prove it.

2. Disrespectors is not a real word. Learn English.

People did witness it. A rescue worker who is now dying of lung problems said he saw it and he said it was one of the reasons unauthorised cameras and video cameras weren't allowed in.

Were these this rescue worker's last words? because unless they were what you have is heresay.

Pay attention. He is still alive. He gave an hour long interview to this forums favourite CT, Alex Jones.

It's a very interesting interview, transcript here:

Wizard, when will you ever learn?

This is the intro to that interview:
Sgt. Matthew Tartaglia was a rescue worker at 9/11. He joined Alex to discuss how rescuers were prevented from doing their jobs properly, were not protected from harmful asbestos, and how explosives, possibly tactical nukes, brought down the towers.

I'm sorry but you'll have to do better than that.

1) How do you prove a rumour?

EXACTLY. Rumours are unfounded and can not be treated with any degree of confidence in the absence of corrborating evidence.

2) Are you really that sad?[/quote]

How do you expect to be taken seriously if you cannot even express yourself using clear and proper language? You do yourself a dis-service, and you do your arguments a dis-service. This isn't like a missing comma or misplaced apostrophe - both common erros. You MADE UP a word, for heaven's sake!

How does his theory on the demolition affect what he saw? How dare you discount all of this hero's testimony because he thinks it was an inside job?

Architect in the Bill O'Reilly thread, UK Dave (a skeptic) has just used the word speachification. Itrust you will run over there to admonish him similarly?

Can be explained by the fact that firefighters are a tight knit "brotherhood",
there is mutual respect for fellow members of the fraternity. When arriving
on the scene in FEMA gear were viewed as "outsiders" - "suits" from
Washington DC to take over and start giving orders. Being from the area
know many who were involved in the WTC rescue/cleanup including group
of FF from my hometown in upstate NY (Utica).

I think you'll find that Dave is taking the piss. Whereas you actually meant it as a real word.

Does irony just mean "like steel" to you?
