Here in Milwaukee the Truthers actually did burn the book. Then they dumped the ashes in Lake Michigan! Sadly, only about 15 people showed up though.

I imagine most people that saw them were thinking, "what the heck?" (to use the most polite of the possible "what the ..." phrases).

I'm still waiting for the actual evidence proving their thesis.

Yeah, it took place at 1:00 on Friday, but I didn't find out about it until 1:30. I ran down to the lakefront with my camera but only got there in time to see them dump the ashes in the lake. I was quite disapointed. It was a big screw-up on my part. I've got to keep up to date with these events!

I was partaking in Santacon in NYC (where we also dress up in silly outfits and perpetuate a myth) and saw some of these jokers on the train ride home. There were maybe 4 of them on the subway platform in their funny costumes and a display. I think it was them anyway. I didn't look too close and I was little blasted.

I think the San Francisco event made the local CBS station. One of the most anti-establishment cities in the country and they got a grand total of 7 people to attend their event. 84% support indeed.

I came across a link to a link to a link that said they were planning a similar event here in Philadelphia, involving dumping copies of the NIST report into the Delaware River.

I fired off an email to the EPA.
