When I first heard about TAM (I think it was TAM 3), I was hesitant. But the more I read about each TAM event, the more intrigued I became. So I thought (back in the summer, I think it was), maybe I'll try it next time. Well, due to my incredible powers of procrastination, "next time" is next month. A little late in the game, I know. But...
Is there a cutoff point for registration? And what about reserving a room? How long until I'd be SOL? I assume getting a flight is reasonably trivial (I just booked my Christmas vacation flights for dirt cheap - I only had to be "flexible" about one day).
Also, part of the reason I am asking is I am trying to convince myself to go. The more I read about the activities, speakers, and the interesting/smart/funny people of the forum who will be in attendance, the more I want to go (and, yes, I'll admit it; the prospect of meeting some of the hot skepchicks [&/or Terry
] in person only sweetens the deal). But I am hesitant - I've never done any "online meet-up" type activity before, and am a bit nervous. Very unlike me, but, there it is.
