okay, now this really pisses me off, as I grew up in Hawaii, not more than 4 miles from Pearl Harbor and most recenlty, I could walk to it from where I lived just above it until I moved to California. Every year, I make it a point to visit the Arizona memorial to pay respects to those who fell that day. I participated in the Kole Kole Pass run, which was held very rarely since its closed off to civilians and because of 9/11, closed off to anyone not associated with the military (this is the pass that the japanese planes took on their way to Pearl Harbor).
I lost three grand uncles due to the attack on Pearl Harbor; My grandfather related to me how he heard the planes fly over and could watch the attack from his home on the mountain side facing the Harbor. Because of this, my grandfather would tell me how frightening it was since he is of Japanese ancestory. He was in fear because he had several of his friends, be interred at the Japanese camps on Sand Island in Honolulu Harbor
This was a real event, with real people , still living today who remember it.
Sadly, these stories that my grandfather told me are slowly becoming forgotten since he is one of few left alive today that can remember what happened. Memories that im sure he would rather forget, but memories that can teach people of what WAR really means.
These truthers really have no bounds on how low they can sink, which is truly dispicable. What also pisses me off is how these truthers do not EVEN know their own damn history.
Hawaii was not a "state" in 1941.
and FDR didn't want to induct hawaii as state, he was wholy set against it.
