I hope Ron will do without. There have been enough showings of grainy videoclips, pixelated images and of newspaper clippings from September 2001.

wow. Its like a disease. Do these guys always just throw crap, be shown wrong and just goto the next bit. That les J stuff is the same crap I hear over and over. Why do the simplest natural occuring things have to be such complex pre planned Neo-con scenarios.

The squibs explanation for example is so simple and makes complete sense. Why do this idiots persist.

Somebody should hook up one of those chess clocks to the mikes; when the time runs out the mike goes dead, and unless they hit the timer to start it running, their mike is also not on.
 
Bermas, specifically, is hard to listen to. His entire tactic-set is just sophistry from begining to end. Dump massive specious details, rapid-fire.. the moment you dwell on any single issue he runs to the next one... he'll resort to ad hominem the moment he gets flustered. That level of sophsitry would frustrate me, I think. Hope you guys keep your wits about you.

That's excellent news! I watched the videos of the Jamieson shows and I am very much looking forward to this.

Way to go, Gravy! I know that you will, of course, kick their butts, and can hardly wait to see it.

As someone mentioned above, it is true that Bermas just spouts rapid-fire BS bouncing from topic to topic whenever he can't actually respond meaningfully to the topic at issue (which is 99% of the time), as does Avery, although more slowly and to a lesser extent, so I hope that some semblance of order is maintained during the debate and that they are forced back on topic when they do that.

Between that and their eyerolling and their default to "liar, you're such a lying liar" schtick, it should be very entertaining. More importantly, though, I have no doubt that Gravy will show them up for the mindless idiots that they are.

it may be an idea to use sound booths if possible ...yeah I know its far fetched but it would be good to know they cant just interupt and crap on.

Eh, Gravy will do fine either way. I would like to see the 'pull it' video clip in context with the portion showing cables attached to the building. Pictures showing the extent of damage to WTC 7 would also be nice. Being that the two kids do little to no research, it will be hilarious to see them flounder when faced with verified info.

They reason they received a TKO instead of a KO on Democracy Now! is the gentlemen from PM weren't familiar with Loose Change. Gravy knows the wide field of 9/11 BS and the small field of Loose Change.

I'm curious to see if they go through with debating because they are overconfident or they back out once they peruse Gravy's writing.

Oh, you do know that they will be coached by Russell Pickering? I would put $1 on Russell helping because Gravy is the 'leader' they hope to slay.

No question, Gravy will do a great job, no matter what the format. He knows his facts inside and out and knows the LC nonsense probably better than Bermas and Rowe do.

I'm not so sure that they'll be coached by Pickering, although I wouldn't be surprised if he offers his help for the reason you stated above. I've never seen any evidence that Pickering knows how to actually debate live. Sure, he posts on the internet, does the usual CT things like misquoting people, cherrypicking, posting innuendo without backing up his allegations, etc., while jousting for position among the tinhatters, but I've seen no evidence to suggest that he has ever had a live debate, or that he has ever engaged in oral advocacy, or that he could or would be able to participate in same in an effective manner.

Bermas and Rowe seem to idolize and follow Alex Jones, who has coached them in the past when they were going into radio shows and such, and they appear to have adopted the advice he gave them even in those long, boring, badly done ego videos that they taped at Ground Zero just prior to the 5th anniversary of 9/11 (where Jones, apparently without a scintilla of self awareness and obviously without a scintilla of knowedge, explained to 911 deniers that the "proper" way to debate people with facts and knowledge is to ignore what they say, don't address what they say, don't respond to what they say, but instead to obfuscate, change the subject, go off on tangents, etc.)

My guess is that they will follow the Alex Jones method of blather, yet again. And sure, I'll put up $1 on that, too ;)

He was on a CT show on RBN. I wasn't impressed by him.
 
Someone should start a regular show called "Debating the Insane"--allowing Truthers to destroy themselves in their own words.

By the way, I hope to debate Alex Jones someday--but it'll be a kind of professional wrestling thing, with costumes and masks and temper tantrums and tirades. I'm going to beat Alex over the head with a chair.

Now that's debating.
