I don't remember seeing "Christmas in Heaven" in "The Meaning of Life". Is my memory faulty or was a bowlderized version shown in the US?

"Chrismtmas in Heaven" was the concluding song number of the film. After the featurette "The Crimson Mutual Assurance" (totally great) the film went through the basic stages of life--the miracle of birth, live organ donation, death, and finally, eternity in a really tacky heaven.

Yeah, maybe that's it. In any case, I do remember seeing the Christmas in Heaven sketch when I watched it, whatever it was. Who could forget THAT rendition of heaven?

No, Monty Python did "The Meaning of Life" (with the forecast sequel "The Meaning of Death.") Mel Brooks did "A History of the World, Part 1" (with the forecast sequel of "...Part 2" which would include the sketch "Jews in Space" which he actually later did as "Spaceballs.")

Last song, yes. Concluding portion of the film, no, as there is the brief snippet of John Cleese (or was it Graham Chapman?) in drag giving us the actual meaning of life.

It was Michael Palin in drag at the end.

"It's Christmas in Heaven, there's great things on TV
The Sound of Music twice an hour and Jaws I II and III."
