Funny he says this,
My first reaction is history has a long march to it, and societies change and relationships can constantly be altered to the good," Bush said after speeding past signs of both poverty and the commerce produced by Asia's fastest-growing economy
since his stance on Syria (since 2003) and Iran (since Axis of Evil speech) has generally been:

"We can't work with these people."

DR

"One has a given ground principle...until one picks another."

A famous (in Denmark) quote by a former Prime Minister.

ETA: Probably that should be "infamous", not famous. :)

Would be more appropriate if he were serving time in Viet Nam. But we can't have everything.

Better late than never I guess. I wonder if Bush even remembers his Vietnam years :) A cheap shot I'll admit, but I couldn't resist.

Maybe a little word association would help clear up the gaps in his memory.

"George, what do you think of when I say 'beer bong'?"

I'm reminded of Ronald Reagan's visit to the site of the Normandy invasion on the 6th of June, 1984. After Reagan made his speech, a veteran shouted at him: "Welcome aboard, Ronnie. You're 40 years late."
