However, if you believe that US citizens should not have a legal right to free speech when travelling abroad, we'll be having a much different discussion.[/QUOTE
Where in the world did you did you see that in my post? You did read it, right?
Of course they have that right as granted by the Constitution. As I have typed 3 or so times now, I just think it's DISRESPECTFUL and IN MY OPINION WRONG--- NOT ILLEGAL OR TREASONOUS.
Interjecting things that are not there looking for an argument is goofy, bob.
I'm not, you stated:
I don't care what any American says on American soil because that is their right (these days a sorely abused one but their right nonetheless).
On foreign soil, you should show respect to your country and your countrymen. Simple.
Which I interpreted as you have the right to say what you want on American soil but not if you leave the country. I'm not trying to put words in your mouth. I'm simply trying to undestand what you mean.
Another question however, what difference does it make where they make the statement? What if they were to be interviewed on CNN and stated the same thing? Their statement is still broadcast around the world, they get their very own Youtube clip and all. Why does it matter that they're in England as opposed to the US?
