Do you have any authority for the proposition that lie detectors work by measuring aura fields and scents? I was under the impression that lie detectors measure heart rate, respiration, blood pressure and perspiration.

Or is this one of your usual grand statements that you just assume you will never be called on?
 
Loss Leader I just learned about this in school, you're 100% correct, she's 100% wrong. It measures your heart rate, some people take sedatives to cheat the test. It has nothing to do with an Aura field, or scent...

I've had a deviated septum since birth, I can't smell at all...NO WONDER I'M NOT PSYCHIC...To the nose surgeon!
 
Lie detectors measure perspiration, which may change depending on your heart rate and breathing. But your persperation varies a great deal even when your heart rate and breathing remain level. Your persperation changes with your emotional states and stress level, so I don't see why you say scents are not involved. Some emotions make you sweat more than others, and the lie detector picks them up as the same even though they smell completely different.

Even your own post contradicts itself. Yes, lie detectors measure perspiration. This has nothing to do with scent; it has to do with moisture. The machine doesn't care what you smell like. And even you say that "the lie detector picks them up as the same" even though, as you admit, "they smell completely different. By your own admission, smell has nothing to do with anything.

And, of course, you have completely ignored the fact that you initially claimed the machines measured your "aura."

More to the point, does it have any evidence that lie detectors work? Yeah that's what we learned in class. They don't work, 100%, they just "sorta work," but hell a lie detector doesn't even hold up in court, and neither would "I got a psychic vision from my rum raising candle and killed my neighbor before he could someone else, p.s. I smell"
 
Lie detectors measure how revved-up your body is; the higher your level of arousal/excitement/emotion, the more you sweat/the higher your blood pressure and heart rate and respiration rate, etc. So if two people are hooked up to polygraphs, one is anxious because s/he is lying and the other is anxious because s/he is afraid the machine will show lies being said, both will show the same results.

Polygraphs can't tell the difference between lying, anger, fear, sadness, etc. Which is why they are not admissable in courts, and when people use them it's mostly for spin.

What they DON'T do is measure auras, scents, or any other woo-stuff.
 
She has to be aware of this, I say we all stop replying to her. In all her threads she is easily out debated within the first 2-3 post, and instead of back tracking and trying to cover her tracks she just entirely changes topics. She's a troll, and aware of it.
