That one was "nailed down" as you say not a whole month after 9/11. Here is the real deal. The Jerusalem Post published an article on 9/12 attempting to estimate the ceiling for possible Israeli casualties in the terrorist attacks. They determined that up to 4,000 Israelis were in the WTC/Pentagon areas on 9/11. Keep in mind that this was not a full 24 hours after the attacks and information was flowing in a highly speculative manner. From there, some conspiracy-minded paranoid morons, apparently still convinced it really was Alfred Dreyfus all along, picked up on this number and, in a glorious demonstration of their reading comprehension skills, started passing around "up to 4,000 Israelis may be missing" as "4,000 ISRAELIS WERE MISSING FROM WORK BEFORE THE ATTACKS! ZOMG ZIONISTS!"

(And no, I don't think publications of this CT in fringe, blatantly anti-Israeli press organizations add any credibility.)

First of All

You are rapidly rising to the rank of Troll. Go do some homework and stop spreading this nonsense. The earliest nonsense that was debunked was the series of BS concerning foreknowledge, particularly Israelie foreknowledge.
1. Zim Container Line moved out of WTC, not the day before nor 12 days before because of a warning, but because their lease was up and they had moved the mass of their staff back in April - they still had a few workers in the building on 9/11.
2. The Israeli Hitech company (can't recall their name) did NOT send text messages warning people an hour before hand. They received nasty messages the night before (but they received them every night, evidently) saying things like "You're doomed heh heh heh!" This got retold into a tale of them warning their people not to go to work.
3. There were not 4000 Israelis in the area and they aren't all on a beam network from the Grand Rabbi, anyway. There was no such warning. The number of Israelis who didn't show up for work that day was probably the same as the number of Belgians!

ETA: The original urban legend is 4000 Israelis. Interestingly, you turned it into Jews. Do you have a particular agenda?

What's nonsense to you is truth to me. We have a difference of opinion. It's like a court case. One expert says one thing, and the other expert says the opposite. I am well-read in alternative news.

I have nothing against Jewish people. If you knew me, you would know that. I am merely stating a rumor I heard with plans to investigate it. You have mentioned things I never heard of, i.e., you know more about the rumors than I do and you take them seriously. Where would you suggest I start my right wing education? Watching Fox News? The story goes that Silverstein was informed that there was structural damage to building 7. He told them to pull it, as he said naively in a TV program. What followed was controlled demolition. That building already had bombs in it.

Usually I lay kinda low around here and take in info (and I've learned quite a lot) but I remember this stupid 4,000 Jews story being debunked years ago, and was irritated to see the crap regurgitated all the same. kc440. I can tell from your demeanor and your diction, that you are younger than most of us here...and that is fine, but maybe you could learn a thing or two from the older people here...we are not all crusty old republicans...most of us are actually much more left wing than right.

One thing you will learn, is that an uninformed or misinformed opinion is pretty much useless in this world, as noone will take it seriously or give it any weight.

You may think it is just a matter of opinion, yours versus theirs, but it isn't that simple. You see it is their, VERY informed opinion versus yours, which does not seem to be that informed. Most people who talk to you here have not only read all of th relivant documentation provided by real experts in the fields, but have also read alot of the "other" documents, created by people with very little experience, but alot of anger for the government, and alot of half-truths and speculation built in. In the end people here decided to go with the views, the theories, that had behind them the greatest degree of SOLID, SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE.

Few here are Bush fans...most think he is a simpleton, but what they all share in common is a respect for SOLID EVIDENCE and the true OPINIONS of REAL EXPERTS.

NIST is still investigating the collapse of WTC7, but as to now, in their preliminary(sp) report have no evidence of a CD. Do you? Except for the out of context remark by Larry Silverstein and the fact that the collapse looks like a CD?? Can you prove WTC7 was blown up?

Examine those quotes--were they saying bombs, or explosions? Were they saying "like a bomb"? Came down like demolition does not mean came down by demolition. Like is a word you need to look harder into the meaning of; it means similar to, not equal to.

Let me also point out that if the surviving firemen were really convinced there was a controlled demolition at the WTC, don't you think they'd be at the forefront of any call for an investigation? And yet there are no 9-11 Deniers from the NYFD; what does that tell you?

That's an excellent point. IRI held the insurance policy on WTC 7. They paid up right away, no arguments. Are insurance companies known for parting with $861 million when they think fraud was involved? They are not. And in case someone may think that Silverstein had a sweetheart deal with the board of IRI, think again. IRI did fight Silverstein on the WTC 1&2 lawsuit.

Quite. The various Lloyd's syndicates that underwrote the risks on the WTC buildings (and related insurances) would never have paid up, let *alone* gone to court to argue over whether there was one event or two, if they thought there was anything dodgy about *any* of it. As someone who handled claims within the Lloyd's market, I can *guarantee* you that.
