I’ve not been to SSSF yet but will make a point of heading that way.

Anyways, again thanks for the welcome and to those still traveling across to paranoid central you have my blessing. I’m afraid anymore than three weeks in that place is enough to drive me up the wall.
Some of those guys have got serious issues, way beyond paranoia. It borders on insanity.

Oh, sorry I didn't recognize the acronym. I actually am registered there, but for some reason it still takes a day or so for my post to show up. Makes it a bit hard to hold a conversation that way! I'll give it another go, maybe they just didn't give me my full posting rights yet.

My user name is "FeralCat" because someone already had Wildcat.

The format is a bit clunky btw, hard to see all the topics.
 
Yeah, people say that but a lot of us have "grown up" with it. Besides - it's the ABC; they don't get much money from the government and they have to cover a WIDE range of interest (and do a good job of it, too).

Though I miss the days when we could post HTML.....

For some reason they don't appear to want me here, as my attempts to register 'Billzilla' have been rejected a couple of times, and my email to the admins ignored.

Anyway, I'm not here to make any trouble at all.
I am working on the silly 'no street lights' thing right now, and know how to completely disprove JD's (ah-hem) theory.

Welcome, Billzilla / B-man. I've watched your exchanges with JohnDoeX with something akin to glee... I think you'll like it here.

I'd swear I saw a user ID "Billzilla" in the roster a couple of days ago... Not sure if that's connected to your problems registering or if it's just a fluke. The admins here are overworked but, in my experience, very fair and patient. Hope you don't experience any other difficulties.

FWIW I really am a 747 Captain, with over 4,000 hours on them. My job takes me all over the world and I've been flying for over 23 years now.

I, too, read your back-and-forth with JohnDoeX at LC. It'll be pleasant to read more of your thoughts (though I can't say I enjoyed the occassional disregard you seemed to show for the U.S.).

Incidentally, there's plenty of interesting subforums at the JREF. Chances are you'll find plenty to occupy your time.

Far from trouble I imagine the admins have just not got back to you yet.

Dont worry, you'll find this forum open to debate as long as you follow the rules and show some good manners. Things get hostile, but the only people banned are those who show no respect to the rules and gerneally conduct themselves as little <use your own word>.

Apologies for that, I was just stirring him up as he's remarkably gullible and makes a lot of mistakes.
I have no problem with the US people, just huge problems with the government. ;)

I was going to look into that claim myself but haven't bothered so far.

Bill actually flies for a European company. He graces us with his presence in Oz sometimes... hehehehe.

Next Pud will have to be a combined SSSF / JREF / BAUT do, methinks!

I am kind of new here and introduced myself with the story of The Bill Challenge, hope you don’t mind but it was amusing.

I think you will find this place a lot saner that the LC forum or any other thruthseeker forum for that matter.

As you will see I had the same problem with my user name and I’m sure it was not in any way to stop people posting.

Anyway Bill\ B men welcome and enjoy the land of the sane and rational.
