I just want to record something here so they can't back out later:

Radio host Alex Jones, who predicted a staged attack on the World Trade Center involving the use of Osama bin Laden as a fall guy in July 2001, has now gone on record with a second prediction that a staged government terror attack will occur before the end of October unless a gargantuan effort to prevent it is launched.

Only through a massively increased counter-propaganda effort on behalf of all truth activists can prevent an imminent cataclysmic horror show that will make 9/11 look like a walk in the park.

Alex Jones nuts bring this up all the time. It's a video of his public access television show from July 25th, 2001 where he makes a prediction that the government was going to plan an attack and Osama Bin Laden would be the culprit. He does not reference any specific building or location so it is not really a prediction. Osama Bin Laden was fresh in our minds from the terrorist attack on the USS Cole 7 months prior, so it is no surprise that he chose him.

I am looking for the video now.

He says new york, that's semi-specific, and only 1 in 50 chance of being right.
The chances that it would also be carried out by Bin Laden, of all the scumbags in the world, are even more astronomical. Not to say that he has psychic powers, but he seems to be pretty adept at analyzing trends in the media.

Which other terrorist organisation had recently bombed two US embassies and a warship? All Jones had to do was to watch news to know that al-Qaeda was a threat.

Alex Jones guessing New York is not astronomical. New York is the financial capital of the US and a terrorist attack on the World Trade Centers had already occurred there in 1993.

He actually doesn't identify a location AT ALL.

And he uses "Osama bin Laden" in quotes purely as an example.

Basically his actual prediction was:

The US government is going to fake a terrorist attack so they can impose martial law, and they'll blame one of assorted "bad guys" manufactured by the CIA.

So really, he got it all wrong.

The government didn't fake it, they didn't impose martial law, and they didn't blame it on someone manufactured by the CIA.

Three strikes, you're out.

See? It's all a matter of interpretation.

Exactly where does he say New York. I only hear him using the the 1993 WTC bombing as an example.

Isn't the "New york" in the beginning of the prisonplanet clip recorded post 9/11.

But mayby my english isn't that good? Or mayby the prisonplanet clip is intentionally misleading. How shocking.

Last I checked, the 9/11 attacks also included Washington D.C., another obvious guess, but one that Jones seems to have missed.

Furthermore, to use Jones's own logic, doesn't this "proove" that he was in on the conspiracy?

Bottom line, rational people are unimpressed. Find me some real evidence, and let's please forget about all these force-fits of trivia that prove nothing whatsoever.
 
For reference, here's what he actually says:

Call the Whitehouse and tell them "We know the government's planning terrorism, we know Oklahoma and World Trade Centre [1993 bombing] was terrorism, we know the Joint Chiefs of Staff wanted to blow up airliners [Operation Northwoods] Baltimore Sun [in reference to a news article], if you do it we're going to blame you, because we know who's up to it. Or if you let some terrorist group do it, like the World Trade Centre, we know who to blame." And you could save the planet. I'm calling it Operation Expose The Government Terror.

He says bin laden will hit new york, right at the very very beginning, before the set changes.
 
Those 2 clips which comprise that video may be chronologically disparate though, in which case I would say you're right, he didn't really 'predict' anything.

The first bit of video is him going:

"Wow I'm so cool, I predicted it, I am teh prophic0r!!!111ONE"

It is recorded Post 9/11.

The second piece of video is his actual pre-9/11 footage, and both WTC and Osama bin Laden are only listed as examples of previous events - he does not indicate that either of them WILL be involved in a future event.

Even though Scotland Yard made the arrest (and I suspect most of the investigation) this precedent shows that the international secret services are communicating very well and are working.

I don't see how Michael Moore is refusing to participate in "hysteria". I would call it more accurate to say he is refusing to participate in reality.

Islamic Terrorists ARE a threat. One can argue how SUBSTANTIAL that threat is, of course. But these people have killed large numbers of people in the past and will do so in the future (by Moore's own opinion). To claim they are not a threat at all defies reason.

I totally agree. Michael Moore is blatantly politically motivated, and "hysteria" is a bloated politically motivated word. There isn't an hysteria, there is a general concern and apprehension for further terrorist attacks, which is very much justified. A little bit of fear makes us aware and keeps us on our toes. But the politically motivated will used that and accuse our respective governments that our countries are turning into police states, or that the Muslims are being the victims of racial profiling. Now THIS an appeal to hysteria. The threat of terrorism is real, and terrorists do exist, this is not an appeal to hysteria, it's FACT. Every thing else is political agenda.

Terrorism is a new fact of life, it would be insane to dismiss it and deny it, and even more stupid to sit by and not do something about it. What Moore is saying is that we should sit on our hands. Like it or not, terrorism is a force we have to reckon with, and Great Britain has shown that we are ready for it.
