Send a Brick to Your Congressman

Although I consider the wall idea to be a foolish one, I heartily agree; that's darn funny!

heh.

Do we have to send a brick to our congressman? Couldn't we just throw it at him?
Hah! I would, but I don't think I have a Talent for it. My wife would probably have to take out a second mortgage to post Bond for me afterwards.

@Upchurch: Hmm, someone's channeling the spirit of Ignatz Mouse today...

As a joke, it's funny. If it were a reality, I doubt the postal authorities would find it funny at all. The density of brick package might say "bomb" to them, especially if they were addressed to politicians.

Seems like a positive by-product to me since the postal service is also government run.

I don’t think that government officials would be that concerned with people sending bricks to them by mail. I’ve always thought that the best way to handle a mail-your-congressman campaign in a way to get their attention would be to get a few thousand people to mail in 3 foot cube boxes filled with packing peanuts. If you were interested in sheer volume of mail that is.

Well, they don't seem to have any problem delivering them to Mel Martinez.

There are certain signs of a 'suspicious package' (please do not say bomb, people might evacuate the JREF forum). Doubtful if any would be mistaken for a 'suspicious package'. Postage costs would be big.

Better to send 100s of big empty packages.
