hi chaps

im back from suspension,a 3 day holiday.
i found something interesting. Tibetan astrologers always claimed astrology has nothing to do with stars,it is impossible,it seems it has more to do with karme.
also, boudhistes do not believe in a god creator, just like science. For more onthat read the articles below

It wouldn't be astrology, then, would it?

Could you at least say which part of the webpage you linked to has anything interesting?

Puppies rule this thread. Woodwater try to be more interesting than pictures of puppies.

Hope you took the time to think.

So, they think it has something to do with a different unverifiable, unmeasurable force that can't be studied. Interesting... Oh, wait, I mean the other thing... tedious.

Kind of like how some Biblical literalists believe grasshoppers typically have six legs, not four, just like science.

Hi chaps,

I'm back from suspension; a three day holiday.

I found something interesting. Tibetan astrologers always claimed astrology has not to do with stars. It is impossible. It seems it has more to do with karma.

Also, Buddhists do not believe in a god creator (just like science). For more on that follow the link below:

:boxedin: Sorry, couldn't restrain myself. :boxedin:

Can you post an excerpt from the site you linked that agrees with "Tibetan astrologers always claimed astrology has nothing to do with stars". I read the abvious astrology pages and they get right into stars, planets and cycles.

woodwater, I'm not very smart. Will you tell me if you're a troll? You can PM me. I ask because the first link you gave above is to an article about how Tibetan and Mongolian ASTROlogy is, properly, based on stars and planets. I never thought I'd say this, but I do hope that you're a troll and not simply an idiot.

this site is full of wisdom and logic, regardless of whether certain things can be proven or not:)

In science, the theory of the conservation of matter and energy states that matter and energy can neither be created nor destroyed, only transformed. Buddhists totally agree and extend the principle to mind as well. "Mind" in Buddhism means awareness of phenomena – either conscious or unconscious – and awareness of phenomena can neither be created nor destroyed, only transformed. Thus, rebirth is simply a transformation in the ongoing continuity of an individual’s awareness of phenomena, but now with the physical basis of another body.
Like I said, I'm not very smart. Can you explain to me how the quote above is logical or wise?

And I'm sure they have good evidence that this awareness persists after physical death of one body. Can someone furnish me with a link?
