Homeopathy? Astrology? Hmm, I don't think so!
(I assume everyone else can see these on the left of their screen when opening the forum today?)

Can anything be done to have these removed?

Oops! Sorry! Didn't read down the page - I was so shocked!!!!

Is it really an April Fool?

Have the sponsored links always been there? Today is the first time I even noticed them there. What's up with that?

Dude...forums cost money to run. I suppose we could charge a per post fee. We could almost get enough money to run the forum from CFLarsen alone.

Could you please then, move them to the right side of the screen? As they are now, everytime I click into a new thread, I have to scroll to read the text, which is pretty annoying. Thanks.

Awww! It's just a heads up that you critical thinkers need to keep your skills polished. Always examine, tear to shreds piece by piece, then get offended, remember?:D
I'm a "woo" and I figured it out. Not that I'm gloating or anything....:p

Is it really an April Fool?

If it's only an April Fool prank, why include real URLs for Homeopathy and Psychics in the link?

I'm highly unamused, and get my knickers in a knot when I lose valuable screen space to tasteless foolishness. Please, for the love of Ed, turn OFF the 'Sponsored Links'.

Did you actually click on the link?

yes, click on the links, take a deep breath and then lighten up.

Did you actually click on the link?

No, I extracted the URL from the link, opened a new tab, and inserted the extracted URL in the address bar. Then I made sure I removed any portion of the URL that would cause it to show up as a link in my reply. I have no intention of using the JREF to support their foolishness. That's why I'm puzzled about the willingness of JREF to promote those controversial and unproven claims.

Surely if money is the big concern, there are other ways to raise the required funds. Find a tortilla with the image of Randi on it and put it on eBay. If no bidders, tell 'em it's the face of Jeebus instead, and watch the money pour in.

Sorry, but that's not my department. Darat is in charge of the "look" of the forum. Complain to him.

So are you saying that it is not your fault??
I'm sorry, I don't understand.

While I'm usually willing to be the fallchick for anything, I have no say in the look of the forum. Just wait 'til Darat springs the "poop brown" color theme on you all. Or maybe I shouldn't have said that.

Well if real sites weren't used, no-one would have fallen for the joke, would they?

It's a pretty lame April Fool: visit www.homeopathyohreallyyesitishonestitsnotajokenoreally.com

These appear to be Goggle ads. The Google spiders search this site for content and generate ads based upon that. Since skeptics aren't generally selling things, and paranormal idiots are, then those are the ads generated. The more clicked upon, the more $$$$ generated for JREF.
