Split Thread Islamic takeover

There will always be illegal immigration into every country. (Well perhaps not North Korea). And yes they are deported - the last few right wing governments cut funding to deportations so massive backlogs arose, these are being tackled now by our latest left wing government.

(By the way boat crossings and numbers of people claiming asylum etc. are down since the left-wing government came into power in the summer of 2024 - I think overall they are already down by 10%.)

ETA: Was looking for the figures and it is even better than I thought - deportations and other returns have reached the highest levels since 2016, over 80,000 immigration offenders, foreign criminals and failed asylum seekers have been deported since 2024. See also: https://homeofficemedia.blog.gov.uk/2026/09/29/latest-statement-in-response-to-small-boat-crossings/

Actually the last figures I saw, for the first eight months of 2026, were down 47% on last year and 27% on the year before. Of course they're still massively higher than before the right wing bell ends of the Tory Party and Farage caused this whole small boat crossing problem with Brexit.

The number of people seeking asylum in Sweden last year was around 6,800. There are somewhere between 10,000 and 35,000 illegal immigrants here (many of whom move to and fro all over the EU), which certainly doesn't seeem like disastrous numbers to me.

Europe doesn't have open borders. Nor are we about to be taken over by Islamists. Currently, right wing racism and violence are a bigger threat to freedom and democracy here.

And as for propaganda; yesterday there was a shooting in Paris. The far right was buzzing with excitement, and the tabloids had big black heae dlines. And then, when the shooter turned out to be white, and the victims brown, it all died down completely. (Except for the victim blaming. That continues. And the shooter is no longer a terrorist, just someone who was at the end of his tether, driven there, no doubt, by the islamist takeover. One of his victims was a 12 yo girl, ethnicity unknown, who is still in a serrious condition, so he may have managed to bring down the dreaded fertility rates.)

Racist attack in Trappes: the suspected gunman said he wanted to avenge the shopkeepers who were looted on 17 October and that he targeted people based on the colour of their skin
According to reports in *Le Monde*, the man suspected of killing one person and injuring five others in the Yvelines department told police he wanted to attack “Black people” and “Arabs”. A copy of *Mein Kampf* was found at his home.

Just FYI regarding Muslims in the UK: They first started arriving in the 16th century, and were recorded in Elizabethan England. That's Elizabeth I, not E2R. More arrived courtesy of the British East India Company. So Muslims have been a constant part of English history for over 500 years. Seems this "jihadist takeover" is a very long time coming...

Abooga, you should know your Spanish history. The Muslims conquered the peninsula from Africa and brought trade and culture. They assimilated all cultures, including the Christians and Jews, to live together. Go to the Mezquite in Cordoba, or to the Alhambra in Granada, go inside and look up. Jewish and Christian craftsmen built those and they did not have to give up their religions. It was the Christian Reconquista that drove them out and persecuted non-Christians, and who started the first pogroms. Perhaps they are the type of "invaders" you should be more worried about.

So the muslims conquering brought trade and culture, while christians reconquering only brought pogroms and bad things... you propaganda ridden mind reeks of bias. This is a good example of the effect of leftist islam whitewashing propaganda. We can see it first hand.

You are spouting nonsense and obvious lies. If you truly believe this ◊◊◊◊◊◊◊◊ you're an even worse person than I thought you could possibly be.
You´re defending a retrograde cult that pushes the spread cultist fanaticism, misogyny, paedophilia and animal abuse. You´re an even worse person that you realise.

Who is defending Islam in this thread? There is a world of difference between defending Islam and arguing that there isn't an Islamic takeover in your country. It is a terrible religion even as religions go, and the world would be a better place without it.

The nearest fact that I can think that supports an idea of Islam having undue influence in the UK is in the slaughter of animals, there should be no exceptions on what is the most humane (overall) way to slaughter animals for food.

Where did I say I do not worry about Muslim bigots? I said I did not assume all Muslims are as hateful
In the same way not all westerners are right wing bigots.

The big difference is that Muslim bigots are in no place in Europe in a position to push their vile view on us trough politics. Whereas the far right, using the spectre of scary muslim immigrants is.

It's not Muslims might in the next years rip my BIL's family apart as he's just an EU citizen living in the UK, it's Reform that platforms on that and might win.
It's not Muslims that cause the current food and energy crisis in the EU, that honor goes to the alt right icons Trump and Putin.
The various attacks on women's and LGBTQI rights across the EU does not come from Muslims, but from the alt right, fueled by targeted campaigns across social media. Some Muslim extremists might agree with the attacks, but they have no political power to enact it.
One of my colleagues in school was put on the 'dangerous left wing teachers' list by her right wing brother, the list being enacted by one of our alt-right parties. Not by Muslims.

I acknowledge that Muslim extremists exist, but their influence and threat is being severely exaggerated by parties that seek to destroy democracy in the EU for reasons of their own. And those parties have a realistic chance of removing my freedoms all to 'protect me', not those few extremists in a small community.

Of course Muslims are not (yet) in a position to influence European politics... directly.

Good. And let´s keep it that way.

But it´s a fact that a majority of europeans want to restrict immigration from muslim countries.

It´s also true that a rise of the far right would be very bad news.

For quite some time, far right parties are the only ones who are opposing immigration (at least when it comes to the narrative), and this is the main reason they are growing in Europe.

So unless mainstream parties start to listen to what europeans want, it´s kind of unavoidable that the far right will gain more and more strength.

You already know that. You say right wing parties will exaggerate the problem "for reasons of their own." What reasons of their own?

Neither of us want the far right to rise. But I´m the only one actually proposing a way to weaken it. You cover your eyes and ears and hope it just goes away by itself. That´s irresponsible.

It´s a bit like the rise of Trump in the USA. A lot can be explained by racism etc, but the failures of Democrats also helped get him elected. If they had been less corrupt and alienated from the demands of working class americans, Trump would´t have won. It was a disaster and quite sad to see it unfold. I don´t want to see a similar disaster here in Europe.

If you defend immigration from muslim countries you´re defending islam. You´re helping it spread. We should not let the cultists near us. It´s not that hard. The aim of Islam, newly renewed with the advent of Islamism is to spread and conquer the world. Why do you ignore this? That´s what we´re up against.

That is paranoia.

Which European countries don't have restrictions on immigration? Certainly in the UK the right has generated a totally distorted view of immigration, we don't have open borders, we have strict controls on who can come into the country, so much so we have employers campaigning to reduce immigration controls.

ETA https://www.pinsentmasons.com/out-law/analysis/tightened-immigration-rules-impact-uk-companies-2026
Of course there are some restrictions. But the narrative is what matters. Here in Spain clearly the more leftist a political party the more they express a support for immigration. Far left politicians have been heard to speak about fully open borders (it´s kind of unavoidable if you take the ideology to the extreme), to claim all immigration is good (mainstream left PSOE) to half-assed speech about more control of the borders (mainstream right PP) to a clear opposition to immigration from the far right (Vox). There is for example a new leftist political party (Frente Obrero) positioned strongly against immigration, a niche clearly exists, but it´s a minor thing for now. Hard to fight against bipartidism.

The majority (80%) of animals killed under Muslim halal rules are stunned first; those killed under Judaic Kosher laws are not stunned. Like many things the religious laws on slaughter for Islam and Judaism are very similar. There are both shariah courts and rabbinical courts in the UK to judge religious disputes (as there are ecclesiastical courts).
