The European Parliament recently approved a resolution calling on the European Union to add people and entities linked to the Muslim Brotherhood to its list of terrorist organizations. The resolution passed by a vote of 381 to 167. So, the threats of Islamists is being taken seriously and is being dealt with in a manner that does not involve a large paintbrush which the extreme right is so fond of using against Muslims.

Not suggesting it at all. I was wondering how we could stop this Islamic takeover that you seem to think is inevitable now we have British folk that are Muslim. What are your suggestions?

Albeit I don't like the label (not being a liberal) given how it is used we do have a liberal democracy, we do have a welfare state (those greedy pensioners) and we haven't got open borders so we should be fine. Glad you've come round to our side.

You have open borders. Maybe not officially, but in practice you do. When boats come over from France with "refugees", they aren't turned away, they aren't deported.

They have a right to have their claims tested. We try to stick to the rules in Europe.

There will always be illegal immigration into every country. (Well perhaps not North Korea). And yes they are deported - the last few right wing governments cut funding to deportations so massive backlogs arose, these are being tackled now by our latest left wing government.

(By the way boat crossings and numbers of people claiming asylum etc. are down since the left-wing government came into power in the summer of 2024 - I think overall they are already down by 10%.)

ETA: Was looking for the figures and it is even better than I thought - deportations and other returns have reached the highest levels since 2016, over 80,000 immigration offenders, foreign criminals and failed asylum seekers have been deported since 2024.
