Well it seems that the Shakespearen canon will be extended to include Edward III.....

Dramatic new evidence concludes that the play Edward III should be added to William Shakespeare’s canon, and also that it was a major collaboration with his contemporary rival Christopher Marlowe.

The history was published anonymously in 1596, and it has long been thought that Shakespeare wrote at least a few scenes. However, Dr Rory Loughnane, a leading scholar and co-author of the research, told the Guardian that computerised textual analysis pushed the case “beyond any reasonable doubt” that the Stratford-born playwright was the principal writer.

Computer analysis, yes?

Very well. Show us the algorithms. Show us the metrics. Show us how you measured the data. Show us the data points, and how they measured up to the metric.

I'm sorry, but now we're in the era of "everyone uses AI carelessly and ignorantly and very often without transparency", any new computer-aided discovery is immediately and irrevocably suspect to me. If your abstract doesn't include a detailed explanation of how you avoided AI hallucinations or AI prompt-satisfying behavior, I'm going to assume your findings are largely clanker slop.

I don't think it's a coincidence that one of the researchers was already promoting this theory in 2016, and now, ten years on, after the advent of casual AI for the masses, their "computer analysis" says they were right all along. So show us the algorithms. It's a computer analysis, so replicating it should be as trivial as downloading the data and the code, and pressing a button.

I also don't think it's a coincidence that the Guardian tells us a lot about the analysis, but does not actually name a single algorithm, program, or analytical methodology used to obtain this result.

That makes me want to write fan fiction about Will and Chris...
Then you would like the play 'Born with Teeth'. I saw it at the Wyndham's theatre, for a two handed play with no interval and minimal props (one table and a couple of chairs), it never dragged, and was an impressive performance by both the author and the actors to keep the audience engaged. I completely forgot I was watching Dr Who! (Ncuti Gatwa as Kit Marlowe, an excellent example of how colour blind casting works).
If you have an opportunity I recommend it.
Unlike Matt Smith whose personal idiosyncrasies come through too strongly in 'An Enemy of the People',
